Adg,
Seconded. At least find out if said letter signatories are practising what they preach.

It's about time proponents of net zero etc experience life without the convenience of dependable cheap fossil fuels imo..

I would sack each and every employee who “signed” the letter - they work for a fekkin oil company!
If they want to play the green agenda then the fekkin morons should go get a job at a windmill farm on half the money and half the benefits
The utter stupidity of some people never ceases to astound me - very double standards and shows you how fickle the masses are - if you have an issue with oil then dont work for an oil company

Genuinely Hope they all get sacked

SIR – Protesters will go ballistic when they hear that drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea has been approved (report, September 27). Yet they fail to take into account the high emissions involved in importing oil and gas – of which Britain does a great deal. There is a long time to go before such energy sources can be fully phased out, and we cannot leave ourselves dependent upon others in the meantime. Maybe now the powers-that-be will see the value of fracking and get started on that project as well. The world is too dangerous for us to just sit back and hope.Mick FerrieMawnan Smith, Cornwall... I'm wondering when all the net zero nutjobs finally realise that ending cheap energy, that the globally economy has expanded so rapidly due to, results in slowdown, recession, more money printing(which results in more inflation/rising interest rates) and the infamous

DEBT DOOM LOOP.

Hard times coming for us all.

It didn't have to be this way.

John Redwood@johnredwoodFollowInterviewed last evening about Facts4EU report on EU upping its purchases of Russian LNG. It's another good reason why the UK should get on with new gas field developments at home to cut our import dependence for energy.6:38 am · 27 Sep 2023·

Regulators have given the green light to drill in the largest undeveloped oil and gas field in the North Sea sparking a backlash from climate campaigners.Norwegian state energy company Equinor has received the go-ahead to progress with the Rosebank field roughly 80 miles west of the Shetland Islands. The company expects to produce 300m barrels of oil from the field in its lifetime. The North Sea Transition Authority said: "We have today approved the Rosebank Field Development Plan which allows the owners to proceed with their project."Together with its British partner Ithaca Energy, Equinor will invest $3.8bn (£3.1bn) in the first phase of the development, which is expected to lead to £8.1bn of total direct investment. The announcement comes after Rishi Sunak last week delayed the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030 to 2035 as he watered down interim plans designed to help the UK hit net zero by 2050.Greenpeace UK climate campaigner Philip Evans said: "Rishi Sunak has proven once and for all that he puts the profits of oil companies above everyday people."Green Party MP Caroline Lucas said: "Giving the green light to this huge new oil field is morally obscene."... Sophia OppenheimerThis EV Green car nonsense has to stop, Governments and Green activist need to explain why Ev cars are Green when most people are now aware that Ev cars in their very construction are far less green than the construction of an Ice car,Their weight is also a huge problem, Tyre pollution which is far worse than anything coming out of an exhaust of an Ice vehicle is a bigger problem than ICE cars. Plus where is all this electricity going to come from. Can we afford for people to be waiting hours for a car to charge. Its a none starter, not everyone has a drive to park up and slow charge over night. Super charge is not good for the car. The list goes on and on. Please let this stop.... Daily Telegraph

The King, PM Rishi Sunak, and President Macron - 'The French Connection' revealed, Part OneForget the pomp, what REALLY happened between King Charles and President Macron??Attribution: UK in France, OGL 3, via Wikimedia Commons. Montage © Facts4EU.Org 2023Globalised without our consent in the name of Net Zero and King Charles IIIOrganised at secret WEF meetings in Davos, our Monarch supports the establishment of multi-trillion pound funds – a special investigation by Brexit Facts4EU.Org.With the UK Prime Minister now apparently rowing back on his draconian Net Zero policies, and Labour in bitter opposition to this, we look at some facts which many readers will be unaware of.IN OUR WEEKEND REPORT BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG ASKS:-Part One : "Where has democracy gone?" as the 'elites' change our livesPart Two : The trillions of pounds being spent – astonishing amounts being committed in our nameOn Thursday (21 Sept 2023) the UK Government issued an announcement about His Majesty's State visit to France and the renewed pact between Sunak's Britain and Macron's France on something called "the Climate Mobilisation Forum".This announcement was so long and so turgid that the Facts4EU.Org team decided to investigate. In our experience the longer and more boring the announcement, the more it is trying to hide. What follows is merely the tip of an (allegedly melting) iceberg of our investigation involving the British Monarch, world leaders, unaccountable NGOs, and hugely wealthy and powerful industrialists and financiers. It involves tens of TRILLIONS of pounds and no democratic scrutiny. In this two-parter, our weekend edition, we provide a brief glimpse into what is going on without readers' knowledge or consent.... More... Facts4eu
