I don't know if you can or not.I did ring Star Street a couple of weeks ago and asked what is happening. The answer i got was the directors are still trying to do something with the company,i was told if i wanted to find anything out write a letter to Tim Curle care of 1 Star Street and they will pass the letter on to Tim as he no longer works out of that office, but is in contact with the directors of A Shaw.I have not sent a letter yet.I also did ask about Bryan, and there has been not change to his condition.
All the best.

I think we can say goodbye to these as Bryan Morrison has had a bad accident and been in a coma for a few weeks now.I cannot see the other directors doing anything.

The assetts were sold to pay off some of the debt so we were told.Selling these off still left 4.2 million to pay so the CVA was done .They would have issued another 4.2 billion shares to cover this hence then the 100 thousand old shares for one new (consolidation)I to think we have been took for a ride, but what can we do,the stock market is a legal way of robbing people as i see it.

I am sure there are a lot of SAW shareholders like me, who are disgusted with the way Bryan Morrison has dealt with this whole situation. I have held SAW shares for many years now and feel totally cheated by this man. It would appear his only involvement in Aurthur Shaw was to aquire and asset strip the business for personal gain with no thought of loyalty to his shareholders or the employees who have been sacrificed on the way. When I last looked at the stock 2 or 3 years ago, probably around the time they stopped trading I was reasonbly sure we would get something back as the company figures showed property assets at that time of in excess of 7 million. It now looks like all that has mysteriously disappeared - does anyone out there with a better understanding of these matters have any idea what might have happened to this considerable property asset.
Any info would be appreciated

Waynab, I have about 400k at a cost of approx £18,000. Not too happy losing it all but that's life. Luckily I have some excellent profits elsewhere. I am now only interested in Tax planning.

I do not know if you will be able to write them off yet,it will depend on how may shares you held as they were going to have a share consolidation of 100 thousand old shares for one new share of the new company

I received a circular from BenedictMackenzie stating that the Voluntary Arrangement has been fully implemented under the Insolvency Act 1986. Does this mean that we can write off as a tax loss this year? All views welcome.

I just rang Benedict Mackenzie, who say they are no longer handling the case for SAW, however SAW is now operating in Star Street. They lady I spoke to does not have the address or telephone number but has taken my details and said she would ring back once she has the contact number. I will try and chase her if I haven't heard in a few days and post the details as soon as I have them. Unless someone else gets them before me.

Hi Teacup, i also had my holdings in a Nominee service, you are right to be concerned with holdings held in this form as i found out when my broker was taken over by another brokerage firm. i requested my portfiolio be returned to me in paper form as i did not wish to transfer my holdings to the new broker. it was fine for all the tradable listed shares but as Shaw was de-listed they would not or could not issue me with a paper certificate. after much e-mailing they sent me a separate letter detailing my orginal holding and a copy of the holdings in my portfilio.

So as Scottroke says you are the benificial holder to the shares but if i where you i would request some form of documented proof of ownership
