04/1/2004 19:32 | Excuse my ignorance chaps but am I able to get tax relief on shares I've bought that have gone under, I've just been reading some of the comments about CGT. I've bought shares in a couple of companies that have ceased trading and I've lost the lot including SAW. Can anyone give me any advice regarding TAX. Cheers. | photogenic
31/12/2003 15:28 | hi everyboby i do not nomally post on the internet, but i would like to wish bryan and his team and for us share holders some better luck in 2004.Im glad wayneb has left, just wish he had kept his thoughts to himself, i no he may be frustrated like us all and bryans not, and he has more to loose. So lets get off bryans back. | pjml
15/12/2003 17:46 | I finally got to speak to Bryan Morrison today, and i have to say the news is not good. The deal is dead, the banks pulled out of the deal, and the reverse takeover is off as stated by the news release.I asked if the company is to fold, all he would say on this is not at the moment.BUT I THINK IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME NOW,i like many others were taken in by Bryan and his smooth talking.I have to say me and the stock markets are now finished and i will not be posting again.GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE GOT THE BALLS TO CHUCK GOOD MONEY AWAY.BYE BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | wayneb
12/12/2003 17:01 | Yep - so that it the end lost dosh - await notification of SAW bankrupt and write it off against CGT.. BY BYE | small racer
12/12/2003 15:34 | I have no wish to pour cold water on anyones hopes but the announcement from Shaw states the reverse takeover has been abandoned, seems like end of story to me. The only hope now is if they can raise finance from somewhere but we all know what the chance of that happening is slim to say the least. | broadlander
11/12/2003 09:15 | Mind you the only good thing that may happen here is that they do come back trading and we have been holding for 2 years plus and make a profit we will pay less cgt,i think it is only 10% on AIM stock if you have been holding two years. | wayneb
10/12/2003 18:55 | So - what to do now - just sit and wait a few years till the SAW Co goes belly up and the liquidator is called in - the end result will be years away and now no chance of CGT write off till than. SAW had to make the announcement sooner rather than later - or get kicked out for good. Only hope I see is that wayneb is right with Bell and Potinger news that work is still going on. Lets hope that work results in a relist shortly. Either way it is money down the drain. If you see me walking down the street kick me and I will give you money, then I will thank you and ask to be kicked again and pay you even more money. Merry f*(&^^ing Christmas | small racer
10/12/2003 18:39 | Guys, we are all now in limbo with SAW. We cannot write off the loss against CGT because, quite simply, the CO. has not gone "under" in the strict sense of the word. We will have to wait for a Liquidator to be called in and it will take a couple of years before the Taxman agrees that they are of "little or no value". Same thing happened in 88/89 when Eagle Trust went belly-up. It's very much "heads you lose, tails they win" syndrome. | wywcu1
10/12/2003 10:31 | Maybe all is not lost, acording to BELL and POTINGER Shaw are still working flat out on the deal and all is not lost,if and when the deal is done they will get there placing back on the AIM,we will have to watch this space.Maybe i was douting Bryan to early. | wayneb
10/12/2003 10:12 | I would not be suprised if it only kept hanging on for the last eight months so the directors could squeeze the last bit of money out of the company by way of there pay cheque, thats my view anyway.I bet the next anouncement will be THE RECIEVERS ARE IN. | wayneb
10/12/2003 08:41 | at least i can offset against cgt, would rather pay cgt though. as wayneb says we have been let down, i bet bryan doesn't loose out!! | banter

10/12/2003 08:38 | My wife bought shares a few years ago but would she listen. Not nice for investors out. | astingy
10/12/2003 08:23 | Well that is not what we wanted to hear,i was wrong Bryan has let us down badly on this ,all them empty promises and lies.Another shed load of money down the pan | wayneb
10/12/2003 07:54 | Good bye Arthur Shaw. Another victim of the dotcom boom. | astingy
05/12/2003 19:50 | This stock is dead in the water. I ( silly old fool ) own 270,000 of the bloody things at a cost of some 17 grand. Not too worried about that because, as they say "nothing ventured nothing gained" but I would just like them to die quickly and I can then use the loss against CGT. If nothing happens it will take the Inland Revenue about 3 years to decide that they are of no value and allow an offset. Very sad. | wywcu1
04/12/2003 10:48 | wayneb Sorry, my apologies - I did not know it was old news! | genie
30/11/2003 20:43 | sorry my mistake they are old results | wayneb |
