Something happening at companies house,they have had a return filed up to 31/7/04,but it is not open for inspection yet,???????,maybe just maybe there will be a comeback.

Lets hope they can come out with some news in 2005 ,either they are going to come back in some form with no debt or they go into liquidation and put to rest .WE WANT TO KNOW ONE WAY OR THE OTHER BRYAN

Maybe they have to file the accounts before they can make a come back.If they were going to go into liquidation they would not have to file any accounts.Maybe all is not lost yet,WE CAN HOPE.

hi all
i sent a letter to the dti (companies investigation branch) and basically they said they could not help but i should speak to companies house. so i sent a letter a couple of weeks ago from companies house. ended speaking to someone in the penalties section. what they lady said is that companies house have benn requesting the financial statement for ages. about a week or so, apparently arthur shaw did lodge a set of accounts but they were rejected by companies house because they were not audited (WONDER WHY??? - maybe coz they're bankrupt). Anyway she said they have to respond within a certain time limit and if not the directors have to pay a fine. She couldnt help any more other than to say keep checking back with Companies House.

But they must have transfered the phones to their mobiles - just why do they not pick up the phone and talk - its good to talk.
Maybe they are in contract talks to take over Warner Bros !!!!!! Just a laugh - I have to laugh or I would cry. I just want to be able to write this lot off or start tradeing again.

Youngferret21 - I think that link you placed is a 'sales' pitch by ICON press. SAW ditched their fab plants ages ago to concentrate on media so the report would be worthless as it can only be based on very very old data.
After all who would say that SAW are worth a mention in the:
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE BENCHMARKS and AND FINANCIAL GAP ANALYSIS data sheets based on the last years performance???

wywcu1 - I still await news from the IR so it could be possible that they have not written off the whole lot yet.

Is it not possible to 'request' and therefore force the issue with the FSA ??

I have written to the IR and asked them to deree that SAW is of no value - and would I therefore be able to offset my losses against tax. I await response - will post here (I will scan in letter).

I would suggest that with a huge loss David Glick should be contacting the Inland Revenue to decree that SAW is of little or no value. Then at least we can offset our losses against CGT

I left a message for David Glick and he did ring me back,all he could say was that he has had no contact with the company for a long time and and that it is dead as a duck and no chance of coming back.He was hoping i had some news for him. So if a large shareholder like him knows nothing what chance have we got of finding anything out

That's worthwhile I agree.

David Glick was a partner until recently it seems with Mishcon De Reya. He has now set-up a consultancy called "The Edge Group". He is working it seems with colleagues Richard Baskind and Michael Eaton
The Edge Group. I can't locate contact particulars for "The Edge Group" but it seems that David Glick is still doing some work for Mishcon de Reya so they may forward correspondence.

Announcement of sharedealing and issue of new shares


Arthur Shaw & Company PLC ("the Company") today announces that it has
conditionally agreed to issue 37 million new ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the
capital of the Company (the "Ordinary Shares") for cash at 0.23p per share to
David Glick, a leading London music lawyer and partner in Mishcon de Reya. These
new Ordinary Shares represent 3.8 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital
of the Company and, following this notification, Mr Glick will retain a
beneficial interest in 39,000,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 4.05 per cent of
the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Application will be made for 21 million of the 37 million new Ordinary Shares to
be admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock
Exchange plc ("AIM") with admission expected to take place on 16 September 2002.
The issue of the remaining 16 million new Ordinary Shares is conditional on
shareholder approval of a resolution to issue those shares at the Company's next
general meeting.

Mr Glick has worked as a consultant to the Company since March 2001 and it has
been agreed that he will take on an expanded role for the Company, in particular
helping identify and secure suitable acquisition targets as well as providing
strategic and commercial advice to the board of directors of the Company.

Bryan Morrison, Chairman of the Company, commented:

"We are delighted to welcome David as a significant new shareholder in the
business. His agreement to purchase these shares shows his faith in the long
term future of Arthur Shaw."
