I notice that the price of natural gas has increased quite a bit today. I see this as a big positive for Serica as it will generate larger profits.

It was something like they should use a heat exchanger to cool the condensate and solidify the wax before its exported. (on Erskine).

Hi Almsivi,

Yes I agree, he posted some utter rubbish. Mainly the Rhum shutdown and the projected earnings going forward.

Not to mention the wax problem..... I wonder if he sold any candles in the end :)

784,000 shares being made available for an employee incentive scheme - I like the sound of that. There's no guarantee that they will be planning on posting a dividend, but with many other employee incentive stocks, there has to be a long & short term option for employees. The missus gets discounted shares from Barratts which invariably sink the share price on the day of issue as many folk just want the cash windfall, the smarter folks wait until at least one dividend is paid out.

On the subject of Chestnuts "Facts" I recall you telling everyone:

US were going to punish the UK because they wouldn't line up over Iran sanctions (Chestnut Fail Score: 1)

That OFAC wouldn't issue Serica a License for US Service provision for Rhum (Chestnut Fail Score: 2)

Trump would sanction Serica for becoming co-owners of Rhum (Chestnut Fail Score: 3)

That the USA were the reason for the shutdown in 2010 when in fact it was the UN/EU (Chestnut Fail Score: 4)

There's probably a lot more heinous bullsh]t you've come away with unchalleneged in the past year - but if I'm honest - the 4 above should be ample reason for NO-ONE on this board to pay you any heed at all. You're a charlatan mate, a toss3r without a clue who needs to flat-out lie to get people to notice him.

Hi Steelwatch.

That was for RRE, of which DH asked my opinion.

Im not posting anything on 1. Serica or 2. Gas Prices.

Cheers GG

BKR - Decommissioning cost of existing assets retained by BP, Total and BHP. Serica assumed Marumeni share of decomm liability.

"Decommissioning liability more than covered by expected cash flow. Serica is assuming liability for the decommissioning of the Marubeni Assets (a 3.75% interest in Bruce and an 8.33% interest in Keith). Serica expects to generate ample cash flow from the Marubeni Assets to meet these liabilities.

Erskine - BP retain Serica’s share of decommissioning liability up to £174million (gross), £31million (net) adjusted for inflation.

Hi DH. I ran the ruler over RRE.
Cashflow looks good on 11k boepd.

The things i would look at are.

1. Hedging and opex costs v current oil gas prices.
2. Old life fields, capex requirement to keep production up? How quickly will it drop off?
3. The decommissioning costs, are spread over alot of assets. These can change considerably. Some money has been ringfenced, but not all?
4. No such thing as a free lunch. These assets have been sold for a reason.

Im not invested, but they are some of the main points to investigate.

Cheers GG

Re GG personally I think its a prudent move to have a plan and stick to it GG mentions holding a large cash position in case of a wider correction he is certainly not alone in that view. With Brexit crunch date fast approaching the likelihood of market volatility is high.

Still happy to hold here with a longer term outlook which includes Row results R3 well intervention and Columbus coming on stream along with the known increasing percentage of BKR production. Plus there is always the anticipation of further value adding deals.

I will probably top slice a percent or two of my holding along the way mainly as I am 50 this year and fancy something special as a treat but essentially see SQZ as a solid long term core investment myself.

Sure - we all take different views and are entitled to express our opinions. I remain unconvinced that he has become "rather negative".

But in how many posts has that exact point now been made to the exclusion of other considerations. I'm simply posting what I found related to payment for the gas hedges which gives some indication and is better than no info on this at all since the issue was raised.

The point is that the cost of the hedges have been included in the £16m even if the exact cost is not specified. I must say that you do seem to have become rather negative in your posts since you sold out which is the complete opposite to your previous posting style.

I disagree with this. GG is posting fairly sensible level headed comments.

His point around the fall in gas price is a good one and will impact SQZ's cash flow.

Don't think he's arguing anything else.
