I remember it was not so long ago you were having a go with Yaso for belittling people, now you are doing the self same thing! Matador an apology is due, or we shall make you walk the plank and become yaso's ship mate. | fernygrade
05/2/2008 14:28 | Sorry to be nosy, but haven't Miami property prices plunged by 40%, or is that Orlando? | murrayteller

05/2/2008 14:22 | Another fantasy by Morris! So many Seftoners with supposed property abroad yet they can only manage paltry trades. Morris is often stating he is at this airport and that, yet I suggest he never quite boards the plane. He is a plane spotter, the type of person who invests in Sefton blah blah blah blah blah | the matador

05/2/2008 13:29 | Morris, Re: your post 12312. Your answer is in post 12313. I think you ought to think before suggesting the gracious fellow is wrong. Your friends from the pond have always insisted that they shall be buying in droves. But the reality is they do not, either because they do not have the necessary funds or they have no conviction in what they state on here, or more likely both. Now apologise to the gracious fellow for your post 12312 | yas0
05/2/2008 13:26 | If you had £250 to invest i would recommend you buy a property overseas lol | mickey take
05/2/2008 13:19 | If you had £250K to invest I'd recommend 357,142 Corac shares! :-) IMHO of course, DYOR etc. | randsys
05/2/2008 13:18 | BP sees 60-90 usd/barrel oil prices over next few years UPDATE (Adds more comments) LONDON (Thomson Financial) - BP PLC expects oil prices to stay well above 60 usd a barrel, and possibly up to 90 usd, over the next few years, supported by steady growth in demand, geopolitical concerns and constrained access to new resources, said chief financial officer Byron Grote. "It's impossible to predict precisely the oil price... But considering all of these factors, it is our view that there is support for oil prices above 60 usd per barrel for the next few years and most likely in a range from 60-90 usd per barrel," Grote told reporters in a news conference. For planning purposes, BP raised its oil price assumption to 60 usd a barrel from 40 usd, but Grote said BP will "continue to test projects at lower prices". Cost pressures brought about by the oil price boom will persist, but within BP, the cost inflation will likely start to ease as gains from an ongoing business revamp feed through this year, he added. The restructuring, aimed at slimming down the group's vast operations, started late last year. It will involve a 15-20 pct reduction in corporate overhead, which will save the group around 7-8 bln usd, said chief executive Tony Hayward. About 5,000 jobs will go across the group by the middle of next year, on top of the 9,500 staff affected by the sale of its US convenience retail business. The sale of BP's 700 convenience stores in the US will be carried out over the next two years. About 30 pct of the planned job cuts will affect the group's UK operations, Hayward said. BP remains confident it could grow production in 2008, driven by additional volumes from the Greater Plutonio project in Angola, Thunder Horse in the Gulf of Mexico, and oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan and Egypt, said Andy Inglis, head of the group's exploration and production business. The long-delayed 250,000-barrel a day Thunder Horse project will be on stream before the end of the year as planned, he said. BP is aiming to bring output to over 4 mln barrels of oil equivalent per day by next year, and to 4.3 mln boepd by 2012. It raised 2008 capital spending to 21-22 bln usd from 19 bln usd last year, but did not give a guidance for 2009 and beyond. Volumes in the fourth quarter of 2007 rose to 3.907 mln boepd from 3.840 mln boepd previously, taking the full-year figure to 3.818 mln boepd, at the low end of the group's own guidance of 3.8-3.9 mln boepd. monicca.egoy@thomson mbe/slj/mbe/rfw | relishing
05/2/2008 13:17 | Rel- You have to ask yourself would someone who had £250,000 buy 5mill of sefton? | mickey take
05/2/2008 13:13 | For you maybe MT. The only reason I'm not buying 5m shares at this price (apart from the fact that there isn't that many on offer at this price) is that I don't have £250,000. | relishing
05/2/2008 13:10 | I don't recall people recently saying they would buy more on the dips..... think those days are over | mickey take
05/2/2008 12:56 | I haven't got a clue what Yas is saying but thanks for the cheap top up....LOL... | barts
05/2/2008 12:55 | What always leaves me bamboozled is that bulls on here claim to own villas in foreign countires, claim to substantial businesses, claim to be near notifiable holders, and last but not least always claim they are waiting for the price to drop so they can buy another chunk. But the reality is when the price drops, they declare ''just bought 5000, or 20000' or something as ludicrous. It is up to an investor how much he buys - but often on here the amounts are out of sync with the nonsense they spout. | yas0
05/2/2008 12:52 | Big buyers stepping in I see.lol I think you might have to do a bit better than that. | yas0
05/2/2008 12:46 | just topped up with 25k at 4.84 | broad
05/2/2008 12:45 | I seem to note that many smallcaps are being shunned at the moment, even though some offer compelling value. It is not a good environment for the tiddlers right now. Moreover, I note that those smallcaps with debt are being pummelled when they miss forecasts. There have been numerous cases recently, and stocks are being decimated if the earnings are not met. We do not know what forecasts Sefton have. We have been provided forecasts from Hardman, a company that produce reports commissioned by Sefton. I think it highly unlikely that their forecasts for 08 production shall be met. I form this view based on the insouciant shown in terms of wells drilled this year, and the fact that steaming has yet to demonstrate any tangible impact. In fact, it has yet to be proven a viable process by Sefton, since the pilot test has suffered setbacks. | yas0
05/2/2008 12:27 | There is no Ad Valorem attributed to this stock......... | mickey take
05/2/2008 12:15 | I have again perused the chart - it appears to me that there is no support below 4p. | yas0
05/2/2008 12:14 | Oh dear - down it goes again. The test of 4p is within sight. The chartist tells me it shall be important for this to be held. | yas0
05/2/2008 12:07 | Just quoted 4.767p for 25k. | relishing |
