05/2/2008 11:44 | pre consolidation seller mark - probably one of hoods clients. | bobbyg2
05/2/2008 11:44 | Yep! That's Yas0. Buy high, sell low. Truly expert at disolving cash. | m_n_tomlinson
05/2/2008 11:38 | I take it that 66666 sell was one of Yarso's then? I see he is busy on here again today......has he had anything worhtwhile to say or is it the same old drivel? Thought so....... | markinthepark
05/2/2008 11:30 | Clearly a lot of bullish comment on here this morning - doubtless to say that will be reflected in the significant volume due to the bulls putting their money behind their optimistic calls. Now let me see......oh dear. Another day of poor volume. Calling the stock higher makes no difference - it needs buyers to step in. They clearly are not tucking in based on the volumes we see daily. | yas0
05/2/2008 11:25 | Which of course they have not to date Relishing! All wells successfully drilled and producing and no doubt more to follow! | the matador
05/2/2008 10:54 | Totally agree. No reason why it should be worth 8 times more than Sefton, or rather why Sefton should be worth only 1/8th of Matra. As with most of these risky exploration based oilers, a reasonable degree of exploration success is built into the price due to speculative buying. But on average only 17% of exploration wells are successful. A lot of these companies have just one or two wells which they are paying most of their market cap to drill, so the odds are actually for them to fail. When these companies almost inevitably hit dusters, the price crashes. Whereas Sefton on the other hand has a low-risk route to increasing production at Tapia by conventional infill drilling, another low-risk route to increasing production by steaming, not to mention the other more exploration-based assets, and of course it is priced as though it will fail in all its endeavours. This is why I continue to buy and hold Sefton. | relishing
05/2/2008 10:34 | I'm gald Matra MTA is falling! It's still in exploration stage ffs, unlike SER in production stage. SER's price should be @ the 10p levels, and MTA's at SER's levels or lower. | m_n_tomlinson
05/2/2008 09:32 | Thanks- bobby | mickey take
05/2/2008 09:29 | MT It would really depend on what they told us - impossible to say what my reaction would be without all the details. I would probably continue to hold as Im in for the long term and value the assets. I'm an optimist though so i'm hoping for the best rather than the worst. | bobbyg2
05/2/2008 08:52 | Away for a week of skiing and not a lot has happened for a change! I would have liked to see an update but never mind back to work. | goooba769
05/2/2008 08:11 | Yes i know and i'm not overjoyed with another month's delay but we may be pleasantly surprised. | redhill
05/2/2008 08:04 | Red- The steamer has been on site for seven months eight if you include Feb | mickey take
05/2/2008 07:57 | Officially they haven't said that steaming will start in February. If its March then so be it.Whats another month when we have waited this long.Unless we are actually out there on site we don't know know whats holding it up. I'd like to believe it will be february like most others on here but its not the be all and end all. | redhill
05/2/2008 07:55 | uni- Thanks | mickey take
05/2/2008 07:50 | MT..I think everyone would be a little upset if they announce that the steamer is still not ready. Getting the rigg on site is some what out of their control and a cpl of days either way is no big deal. At least this time they have not stated an exact date, just earl Feb, so we won't really know. | unimog
05/2/2008 07:28 | Red- I don't have an obsession there is plenty of talk here that the management have everything at their disposal now to take this company forward. If that were the case then there should be no reason why they should fail to do so, this would include securing rig deliveries on time and starting the steamer.imo | mickey take
05/2/2008 07:23 | Thanks red | mickey take
05/2/2008 07:19 | MT, too the first: call out the AA The second: well we solved the gas problem! but no one told us it takes water to make steam! | fernygrade
05/2/2008 07:19 | It would make no difference to me as i am in for the long term. Also the way i understand it both items are out of their control. Anyway whats your obsession with stating the worse scenario? | redhill
05/2/2008 07:00 | I am interested in the comments by others if the following were to occur...... Sefton announce that the next drilling campaign /rig is delayed. They report that they haven't started the steaming. I don't wish to sound all doom and gloom and it is a hypothetical question at the moment but i would be curious as to where others felt the responsibility lies, if such announcement were to be made. | mickey take
05/2/2008 00:54 | I agree too - this stock going nowhere - better get out and back in later and make some cash elsewhere rather than listen to Matadork cooking !!!!!! lol | datahead
04/2/2008 23:47 | Bobby is right - it is a no brainer hold for those with no brain. The rest understand that there are far better stocks out there to invest in. | yas0
04/2/2008 22:30 | we will see this month matador. Things seem to be coming together, comparing us to many other micro caps we dont have a lot of problems - weve got funding, production, prospects. Despite the doom mongers theres plenty of upside if they get it right and we should rise even if they only add more production through new wells. A good risk reward to buy at these prices and a no brainer hold IMO. | bobbyg2
04/2/2008 20:23 | Bobby, predicting the valuation of Sefton based on the public information available last year, well into the high 20's was quite a fair price should they achieve their goals. What was not taken into account by many, myself included, was the market and investor reaction to the news we have seen over the past 6 months. There's no doubt we are on target so far with the drilling. It's been done and it's been successful. If the steaming pilot gets/or is underway and the results are as good as expected, the Hardman report starts to appear to be a little more realistic and their valuation is subject to all the relative achievements. Getting an RNS confirming anothe rig is on site and the steam pilot underway would certainly be a guide to the management for once achieving what they have promised. Seeing these actions and basing a valuation on the company is not ramping or even blind hope. It is a fair expectation to see a considerable re-rerating when the reserves are substantially increased along with the BOPD. Absolutely pointless basing a valuation on past history as they have not had the facility to do what they are now. | the matador |
