I agree about royalties, where I don't have enough information to assess Sefton's liabilities. However, I base my estimates of current obtained oil prices on what Sefton has actually obtained for its oil in its published results in 2007 H1: these can be inferred from the revenue and production figures. They then can be compared with actual prices for heavy oil. So based on past relationships, Sefton should be getting $80 currently. But of course we'll have more certainty when we get the 2007 results.

Tim, Sefton won't get the full %80 for their oil.
There's a DOGGR charge of about $0.14per barrel, then there's royalties etc.
As with most things you should ire on the side of caution.
I use a figure of about $70 for my calcs.

Average monthly prices for Sefton's oil roughly $80 in both December and January. Monthly income currently about $500,000, spending of $200,000, cash flow of $300,000. For a full year, that of course translates to nearly £2 mn surplus cash flow, even before the results of further drilling. Company valued at £5 mn, forward profits of £2 mn plus. Go figure!

Cant wait - I'm of the opinion that along with news on new wells (and poss steaming) this set of results will be the making of SER in terms of a more stable and sensible share price (ie not 4.87p)

Peteark is right. Minerman the Matador has stated with regularity over the past few years that the share price is set to go up many multiples any day now.

But he is mistaken when he states 'Bound to be right one day'. Not quite.

He was not right when he kept stating the same with LGB. It went bust.
He was not right when he kept stating the same with EVS. It went bust.
He was not right when he kept stating the same with AQL. It collapsed.
He was not right when he kept stating the same with VOG. It collapsed.

I could go on, but readers get the point.

Just because a fool posts daily that a stock is set to rise does not mean that it shall do so. In fact, ususally such stocks never do, as the evidence above suggests.

I have to agree with Yas, Matador has stated on a daily basis for 2 years the share is about to take off, why should now be any different?

The rest of the bullls are less cautious and think the share will rise in time, nothing wrong with that, these are my own feelings.

No there is a steaming pilot being started/about to start soon and this will greatly increase reserves and production if successful.All in all looking forward to 2008 being a record year for production and profits.

By the way the Hardman report of summer 2006 has been superceded.You really do need to get up to speed on this company otherwise pi's will think you a numpty!
