30/1/2008 14:23 | Morris, Do you have many to offload? You indicated that in the absence of a dramatic turnaround by the AGM, yopu shall be selling out. | yas0
30/1/2008 14:22 | Bobbyg, You will have noted that Iaing submitted comments he claimed emanated from one of the Directors. When questioned about these, he swiftly removed the post. Does that not strike you as odd? Moreover, if you are not biased in your approach then why not ask him why he removed those comments if theyt were genuine. Hence new readers can infer that bulls such as yourself only wish to see one side of the argument, and seek, unjustifiably, to ramp this stock. Now why is the taxpayer paying you to peruse these threads, since you claim to be an employee of HMG? | yas0
30/1/2008 14:16 | bobbyg, Since you wish me to elucidate, I note that I aing, the purveyor of untruths, was on here ths morning and stated as follows: ''iain g - 30 Jan'08 - 11:16 - 11950 of 11968 Hello all bit of a none event today, shame the bid didnt creep down to 4p. I shall have to be content with 5p buys''. Thus he was stating that he would have loaded up had the bid hit 4p. But that is nonsense since the bid was at 4p the other day and I diod not see anyone loading up, especially not that fool. Hence, the assertion he makes in his post today that buyers are seeking to absorb any stock should the bid fall slightly is complete and utter tosh. There are no buyers waiting to clamber aboard, at least not that we are aware of. | yas0

30/1/2008 14:13 | Its better to have loved a short than to have never loved a tall :) | bobbyg2

30/1/2008 14:07 | Yes! The long.. the short.. and the tall. | mickey take
30/1/2008 14:06 | I believe that quote is about 18mnths old, so what relevence it has today is beyond me but.... in that case you should have said 'despite the creation of a perception that buyers are seeking to clamber aboard' .... otherwise you just look like a liar, which you are, so thats fine. | bobbyg2
30/1/2008 14:05 | Or a long person shorting the stock - there are many different permutations. | yas0
30/1/2008 14:01 | You could be a 'short person' holding this stock | mickey take
30/1/2008 14:01 | So if there are no buyers queuing, how was it that the chief bull on here, namely matador, stated that readers ought to load up immediately since soon the rush for stock would be so great thus creating a shortage of stock that 'on that day you shall not be able to buy'.lol I did not see any of you criticise him, so yes, you are creating the perception that buyers are seeking to clamber aboard. | yas0
30/1/2008 14:00 | murrayteller Lets put it this way.I don't believe he is short as it is very difficult to be so on this stock. | redhill
30/1/2008 13:58 | Oh I think he does...he's a naked shorter...that much is obvious | markinthepark
30/1/2008 13:57 | Red, as you know full well, he is LONG | murrayteller
30/1/2008 13:57 | mark Of course he doesn't.He can't manipulate this any more than you or i. | redhill
30/1/2008 13:52 | How many AIM stocks have buyers queuing? Aim stocks move on news or anticipated news. There is plenty in the last few RNS to get excited about especially drilling three new wells in February.More oil being pumped than ever before and at record prices. So why does the poster known as Yas0 talk this stock down? Is he an idiot? Is he a disgruntled ex employee? Did he lose money here once? Why does he spend 24/7 bashing this stock? | redhill
30/1/2008 13:50 | Oh dear - I peruse the thread today expecting endless bullish posts, but note that the content this morning is rather bearish. This is a significant turnaround. When hardened seftoners change stance, it does not bode well. Will some of these paltry holders now sell out because, despite their attempts to raise the price and pass the parcel, they have failed so to do. Sefton has been meandering along as a loss making operation for some considerable time. The only way to profitability was a well managed and carefully orchestrated campaign using debt to prove up production at Tapia, bring on a JV partner for CBM acreage, and use additional techniques such as steaming at Tapia. Howecever, it has not been plain sailing. For profitability to be achieved, the most significant ingredient needed was an efficacious management team, operationally, stratetgically and financially. Sadly, we all know how effective the management have been since they took charge at Sefton. Do not take my word for it, nor the view of bullish seftoners. Just look at the SER chart over that time. The ultimate litmus test of management effectiveness is the performance of the share price, and on that basis they have failed miserably at a time when most oilers have rocketed. They are now saddled with debt. They have only managed to drill two wells with moderate production, having drawn down 1.5 mln. They have still to bring on a JV partner. They have set up a steamer, but thus far it has not worked since the pilot has encountered problems. The costs are rising, the production is not rising proportionately. Moderate increases in production shall not be sufficient to save the day. I refer to the comment made by DImTim. In relation to small caps that avoid ending up in administration he writes '' In particular, they've always avoided having debt on their books''. Oh dear. Whilst it is obvious that those that avoid taking on debt never going very far either, he has a point. Whilst sefton proceeded as a loss making outfit for a long while, the losses were not so substantial that it would be 'game over'. But now, it has taken on the challenge. It has drawn down funds, and they need to be paid back. Sefton has not, in my considered view, performed anything like what investors would have expected since it acquired the debt facility. The pace has been leisurely, the problems encountered have been substantial. First we heard about rig delays. Then we were told of fires around the area, though they did not pose a direct threat, on this occasion at least (based on the frequency of these fires in the area one can never rule it out as a calamity that could wipe out the company in one swoop). Then we heard about the delays to the pilot. Delays due to gas supply. Others suggested that it was missing parts, though they since removed such posts when questioned by the gracious fellow. There are parts missing in my view. I refer to the important part known as the brain in the heads of seftoners. This is something that needs to be addressed. Only then would they be able to recognise the considerable possibility that it really is 'game over' at Sefton going forward. As always, dyor. | yas0
30/1/2008 13:50 | are you on a different planet? where is all the talk of 'buyers wanting to clamber aboard'? The longer this goes on the closer we get to more wells being drilled (rig booked for february) and every day we carry on pumping 197bpd. At an all time low share price with prospects better than they have ever been its a good time to get in but no one is stating we have buyers queueing up. grow up & stop your de-ramping lies. i'm a long term Bull dissapointed at the share price but there is no way i'm selling at this level and I wont have to. | bobbyg2
30/1/2008 12:58 | Another day of low volume, despite all the talk by bulls of buyers wanting to clamber aboard. The fact is there are no buyers queuing. There is nothing in the last few updates that leaves potential buyers excited. The longer this goes on, the more long term disappointed bulls are likely to sell out. Take morris for example. He has been holding for a couple of years, but declared on here that he shall give the board a few more onths or he will offload the lot. | yas0 |
