I'm tempted to sell now too. Almost did when Marketing Director reduced holding.

At 776p I will double my money - should I remain greedy for a little longer?

If it is a 'marketing' director selling - then perhaps it is time for this company to have new directors - surely he is meant to have a view on the world he is in.
No complaints anyway - enjoy

There will be some consloidation of breweries I would expect. So possibly cost savings still to be factored into share price.

Another Great British Institution about to fall into foreign hands :-(

I hope S&N reject any offer outright. A merger with Carlsberg would be better....

The share price shooting above the 750p level means the mm's think there is posibility of a bidding war. What would SAB or Diagio be prepared to pay?

I recall a few months back the talk was of a 700p take out price.

OFFTOPIC,

If you want to make 20% at least in the next few weeks you can do a lot worse than taking a look into SCO.

Increased likliehood of a tie-up with Carlsberg in my opinion at anything up to 700p

Is there likely to be a bid when one sees the marketing director selling half his stake a week ago. Perhaps just bad timing on his behalf.

The share price is getting close the £7 take over price that has been mentioned in the past. How much more up side potential is there?

Yes , looks interesting.I suspect we will see a fair bit of volume as we move into the all-time high territory, there seems enough uncertainty about a bid to encourage profit taking.

Closing in on that £6.50 peak now - I think I will unload if we breach it, but I accept it may go quite a bit higher in next few months. The latest batch of takeover rumours will presumably add to volatility.
