Finally re-breached the £6 level - all seems to be quiet on the rumour front in the press.We are still 20% up on year ago , despite the trading statement.I suspect most are holding to see if the 650 peak will be repeated, and would unload if they got a 2nd chance.

outrageous comments, presume they have a large stake they need to shift.
For all my negativity on the stock, a bull has to laugh at these comments. May even mail merrill to see what the analyst is smokin this week.
edit Looks like the analyst has sorted his mate at citigroup with the same weed!


Rather surprisingly, Citigroup has upgraded the brewer to buy from hold after what looked like a dire set of interims and a dour trading update. The price target goes to 680p from 630p. The change is entirely due to the strong performance of BBH, its Russian business, which according to boss Tony Frogatt is 'going gangbusters'.





I see coogar is still working for a living judging by his post timings, don't they have internet access in the Lidl canteen? lol!

both shorts nicely in profit (the 591 and 609). Suspect with smoking ban and floods we'll see a prof warning with results this week, certainly glad to be short than long. Many pubs been closed for weeks with floods, bound to have hit profs and also rumour many landlords with limited insurance. F & M could hammer the rural ones also. ;-o

Sometimes shares go up, sometimes they go down. Today they went down.

My SCTN profits now down to 48% (excluding dividends)

All pub groups getting battered as many boozers under water, can see 500p very quickly as these are flimsily supported by pie in the sky bid talk. Both shorts heavily in profit now :-)))))))))))))))))))

Increased likliehood of a tie-up with Carlsberg in my opinion at anything up to 700p

Price holding well despite the general market fall,suggests to me more upside in the short term.
