Yeah probably profit taking. Illiquid stock so will move alot either way on small volumes. Solid hold for me though, fundamentals and prospects look good. Hoping for 350+. Dyor.

Excellent update on 2020 performance. They have restructured Frontier just as demand for digital radio is taking off in Europe, thanks to the law introduced by the EU Parliament a couple of years ago encouraging the roll out of DAB across member states. I would be surprised if they offload Frontier completely, as it looks like a cash cow in years to come. My guess is that there will be a partial sale to a bigger chip/module designer wanting exposure to a growing market, where they incur development costs and SAG sit back and count their share of future profits, plus the upfront cash from the partial sale. It just proves what might have been for Frontier, as an independent, if only they'd had decent management.

Delighted to see this update.
It’s pretty impressive how they have achieved such progress and growth in the current environment and still with plenty of cash available!
It will be interesting to see in due course which option they choose for the Frontier business.
In the meantime the company deserves to be on investors radar rather more than it has been up to now.

An update at the link re. how digital radio has fared in 2020 and the prospects for 2021. At 1 hr 11 mins there is encouraging news about DAB becoming mandatory in all new EU cars from 21 Dec, which opens up opportunities for Frontier Silicon. I think that the growth in the EU of DAB over the next few years is what encouraged SAG to be so aggressive in their move on Frontier, because they could see how to exploit a huge market in a way that the previous useless executives were completely incapable of:

At last the price has escaped its recent range of 200/250p and indeed reached a 7 year (if not all time) high.
I suspect that we are in for a long period of consolidation but I am happy to have SAG as one of my larger holdings.
I bought a DAB wireless recently and am very impressed with the quality of its reception.
