I think Ray is a genuine poster and a genuine Burnley fan !

IMO there's no doubt that a few of the free spirits like yourself are missed on LSE. Never mind. Just occasionally on this BB, there is a good discussion which makes a pleasant change from the usual unremitting cant against our mutual friend.

I should tell you that P7 actually helped me look closer at the Emoluments issue and as a result, I changed my position somewhat. But not much discussion was generated on LSE about it.

Should be an interesting AGM - questions on Emols and 'Monetization' - my favourite word atm

Been there , seen it, done it...
No interest in that particular slanted playing field thanks!
Good to hear from you though, and I'm sure Ray Pointer (strange, I remember a poster called Alan Turing who suddenly appeared.... and he was an "Expert" too as I recall) posting with a real name from the past... seems a strange coincidence... :-)
But then maybe I read too much into coincidences over there!
Stay happy

Now now ONW. RP has put a lot of effort in trying to follow the science - so credit to him for that. Anyway, apart from the newsless gloom, you still see plenty of grounds for some optimism don't you ?

If you don't like his post, why not criticise him over there ? Then he might reply.

Tosh. I think our FA Cup wins this season are the first for 4 years. Winchester next. Tom Kelly played for us for a couple of seasons - great Guy and he scored some good goals!

Yes he did, many times.
Unfortunately, the following and therefore revenues needed to survive in even the conference, are sadly missing from Torquay.
Clubs of that stature survive on money made from cup runs, no meaningful cup run = no meaningful revenue.
Its been a very sad tale over the last few seasons, and they are only surviving now due to Truro City pitch sharing whilst they find a new permanent home.

I still bump into Tom Kelly and share a few beers every now and again as well ( he played left back ), but im not down there much as i spend most of my time in the city.

LONDON (Alliance News) - Immunotherapy firm Scancell Holdings PLC on Tuesday said it is well funded to progress its range of proposed cancer immunotherapies.

Scancell is developing immunotherapies for cancer based on its ImmunoBody and Moditope technology platforms. It has three main drug programmes: melanoma treatment SCIB1, non-small cell lung cancer treatment SCIB2, and breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and sarcoma treatment Modi-1.

Scancell posted no revenue for the 12 months to April 30, and its pretax loss widened slightly to GBP4.9 million from GBP4.5 million as administrative and development expenses both rose.

As of April 30, cash was GBP10.3 million compared to GBP2.7 million a year prior. Since then, it raised GBP4.7 million in May and then GBP1.1 million in a further open offer.

Chief Executive Cliff Holloway commented: "It has been a strong period for Scancell as we continue to make significant progress with our pipeline of cancer immunotherapies.

"The fundraisings this financial year have given us the necessary funds to progress our ImmunoBody platform pipeline, and to continue to advance Modi-1 towards the clinic."

Holloway continued: "SCIB1 has demonstrated impressive survival data to date, and operational and regulatory activities are underway for the initiation of the international SCIB1 checkpoint inhibitor combination phase two study in patients with melanoma."

Shares were 7.5% lower on Tuesday at 11.56 pence each.

On the Torquay Fans Forum (you oughta' join)- a poster was reminiscing about a 5-0 F.A.Cup win against Boreham Wood in 2002 - what a team this was !

Torquay: Van Heusden, Hockley, Woozley, Canoville, Hill, Bedeau, Fowler, Russell, Kuffour, Graham, Gritton

Dunno if we'll ever get back to such heights !

Your Son played for England Youths ! Wow !

I just don't like liars and cheats, and the caped crusader is both... a most despicable individual who needs therapy.

As for FP, i was at Exeter City as a lad, but played with him at Ottery St Mary late on in his career, a lovely guy.
My youngest went on to play football for England may times but had to retire due to injury, my oldest still plays semi pro and my middle son plays pro rugby.

And yes, i remember Frank O Farrell, but not personally.

FP has now retired i believe, and i think he still lives in Ottery St Mary.

Hi Tosh it comes over as a chip - a longstanding one.
As for 'feeling sorry' for 'im - MMMmmmmm

Re TUFC. Before your time I daresay but Frank O'Farrell was 91 yesterday !

Interesting your 3 sons played TUFC - great. Do they play anywhere now ?
And you played with Frank Prince ? Where was that ? Bristol Rovers ? FP was a seriously good player.

Not sure where FP is now . . .

Dobson. Neither Inan or Theresa May are in a minority of one as you put it - with respect, that's your role in life. Inan is let's say, a little 'searching' and 'challenging' (as well as being knowledgeable) in his style of posting and that's why at last, there is some chat on LSE. A good read. We miss him. Glad he's back.

Talking 'underwater' - how you doing with 'H'life' ?

Plasbryn - what a good question. Scancell's 'Immunobody' and 'Moditope' platforms are substantially under Patents so other Companies should not be doing similar research and trials. However many other Companies are researching other ways to open up and activate T-cells to attack cancers although, I think it OK to say, that on grounds of efficacy, cost and absence of side effects - I'm not aware of a 'thing' that closely competes with Scancell's wizardry both clinical (where that's been done) and pre-clinical.

I hope that's a fair answer - hopefully one of the 'techies' around will add to or correct mine. GL

What has woken the o,d Hedjiot on MFFF.
When it goes from no posts to 40 in one day ya kna the Village Duffer is in full flow.
Hecargues with everyone and CONtributes nothing.
He reminds me of zTheresa May and the EU.He is in a minority of one but still thinks They are right even when the other 44 are saying you are wrong.
When a Jezza sorts the job out adpfter the mess the Brexit Mob have failed he will be on the list.
Loz I would be worried as he can now swim the channel with his gills developed by being underwater here.
Wish he would just shut up rather than post his CONsense.
He is the reason why no one else is interested in MFFF

TF,
no chip im afraid, just the need to show an uneducated idiot up, for what he is.

He actually makes me laugh with his utter nonsense, so rather than a chip, its more a case of feeling sorry for the guy, he clearly doesn't live in the real world.

Changing the subject,
Torquay FC have had a torrid few years ( all 3 of my sons played for their youth teams when Geoff was running the show many years ago ).
They had a reasonable set up there then. I remember Frankie Prince was there as well ( i think he was the community officer ). I played alongside Frankie for a couple of seasons, a great bloke.

Tosh. You are not quite correct there - I have seen multi-multiplicity of posts over many many years on both BB's - about your pre-eminence in career, achievements, investment strategy but IMHO the downside is the chip sitting on your shoulder.

Not making things up - my 'old' memory might be better than your 'young' memory.

And - OK - I just got the impression about the 'bright' bit and you probably are.
With a massive chip.

Gosh - I hope these shares don't hit £8 - what'll we want to talk about then ?

Tosh - just a bit 'chippy' yet you tell us you're a bright Guy. ATB
