11/2/2018 17:25 | Wanderer Yep, it could very easily become a trading share, and if we can get some volatility it wouldn't be a bad thing. Let's face it, the LTHs can stay invested whilst the braver market players can see how they get on with their short term view. The point that's been so heavily underlined by some as we've fallen from the highs of more than five years ago is that "there's no loss until you sell"! I wonder how many seeing a profit on a holding that's been underwater for so long might decide against the risk of saying,"it's not a profit until you sell"! Merely a thought on my part, but one that might just come into play in due course. In case there's anyone who thinks I'm being negative think of the psychology of a latecomer investor in SCLP (on the way up post say 28p who's been in deficit since the notorious fundraiser @22.5p that dumped the share price in Mid 2013. Holders flocked to take up the entitlement, so there must be quite a few around to whom 20p is a major landmark. Anyway crystallised profits or unrealised losses, guess we'll find out where we go soon enough. Two sides to a market... Good, innit? :-) AIMO ATB | oldnotwise
11/2/2018 17:06 | It's a 16p sell off, no more no less. The long term still looks edgy with a placement looming, I still maintain this old dog as a way to go, with the share being illiquid it will turn into a traders paradise in the forthcoming weeks | wanderer1210_0
11/2/2018 16:55 | drdobson Thanks, appreciate your comment! Looking for a bit of upward share price movement on Monday... but it's all a question of sustainability... The potential overhang a bit higher concerns me a little. Fingers crossed.. :-) ATB | oldnotwise
11/2/2018 16:07 | Very good posts ONW Don’t want to get involved in any personal stuff which goes round and round but do consider you are generally fair in your approach as summed up by TF | drdobson1
11/2/2018 14:39 | TF Many thanks, I know I shouldn't rise to that stuff.... but eventually .. well you know :-) Right that's my rant over and apologies to any regulars here who I might have upset.... I promise I'll get back to discussing SCLP rather than personalities... All I really want is a bit of space! :-) ATB | oldnotwise

11/2/2018 14:06 | Oh, BTW I wonder how many people here wouldn't "top slice" at 100p/sh? Now that's a thought.... :-) ATB | oldnotwise

11/2/2018 14:05 | ONW Lol. I agree with your c7 posts. He will hound you and be rude everywhere you go. That’s how he is with me. But his ridiculous posts does make me laugh. Interesting news this week. But how good is it really.? The patents were much expected. The nomination for a potential award is good. But just that. Potential. It’s very possible that Lindy will not win an award and funding. Then the share price will be back where it started. Nice to see a rise for LTH’s. But there will be a cashcall within the next few months and it might just come much sooner on the back of this small rise. Then the share price will be back to where it was a week ago.10p range. Have a good day all. | agema
11/2/2018 13:54 | miavoce - Would that be a 'forum' that "focus on the company" which trades ATM at 13.25p ish OR A 'forum' that "focus on the company" swallows "£6 a share - in {now} 6 months" ??? | the real lozan
11/2/2018 13:50 | Having had a bit of a think about what's in the future here I guess we'll see some relative firming of the share price but we still have a long way to go to commercialisation. The most recent RNS are more than I'd imagined, and help (hopefully)to put a prop under the share price The outlook long term is much enhanced in the last six weeks or so, but we still have a potential overhang of possible sellers when their averages/targets are achieved. I believe the funding issues are eased but not resolved. and given our increased (as to be expected)cash burn the only fear I have is that the potential two way pull on the share price may outweigh the short term upward thrust a lot of people are predicting. I believe we're heading towards a two way pressure on the share price and it's really straightforward. LTH want the price up.... (but some only want it to get back some capital from a six year loss situation). Funds providers (possibly Stateside) want to let us have their funds for as little cost to them as possible. New Long term investors want shares as cheaply as possible. Mention's been made of the fact that when Moditope was announced we went to 60p! in my view that was because the shares had little track record and the Modi discovery was seen as, "Hey everyone" we've got a world beater on our hands for free!". Since at that point there were no holders that had been invested underwater for five/six years there was none to sell into any rise... everyone believed the hype. Fair enough, but then like any overreaction (64p) reality dawned... That reality was there would be no income generated per share for a long time and that funds would need to be raised to fund EVERYTHING. That finance need has eased now, but we still need money short term. So, Distressed/Unsure sellers apart, and the constraints against the share price of anticipated short term cash raising, everything looks set fair on a medium /long term view. What we'll see in the near future will (hopefully) be a rush of new investors with the foresight to buy SCLP at around this level up to say 20p. after that check the charts. Obviously a new DEAL (Cash generating) takes all this out of the equation, BUT however we look at it we're a long way off commercialisation. If you think the science is all just look at IMM and their proximity to Phase 3 trial results and think what their share price has done recently. I hope for the deal, I like making a profit as much as anyone, but I'll not hold my breath.I'm going for the quiet, patient approach. That's my take on SCLP after a very impressive weeks news! 11/2/2018 13:44 | I guess a new BB will be needed if we are to get some focus on the company rather than each other. | miavoce

11/2/2018 11:19 | Given all the recent good news and growing level of publicity it is likely that there will be new investor interest in this company and therefore new visitors to this board. There even seems to be a general consensus, even amongst those that were highly critical of RG, that Scancell is now moving forward on the right track. Could I respectfully suggest that this board as it stands, being regularly punctuated by spats between posters, may be more likely to put off new investors rather than encourage them and certainly doesn't do much to paint the company in a good light. Perhaps now is the time to consider how this board can be turned into something which may help promote the company and the great things that it is doing. I appreciate that some posters will have genuine grievances with others, but it seems that this would be a good point in time to draw a line under them and to focus on discussing Scancell, the progress they are making, how fabulous LD is (so very true) and immuno-oncology in general. Something to consider as we stand on the cusp of tremendous progress which will benefit investors and patients alike. | miavoce
11/2/2018 11:17 | I agree with Chelsea35. Oldnotwise does not read his own posts or he would see different. | inxsight
