No Grealish or Foden starting again tonight.

Did Southgate catch those two in a threesome with his wife?

Went to Uni with nephew of Sir Ken Morrison and net him a couple of times.Real genuine unassuming guy.
Funny thing is the Accountancy lecturer was going on about this guy called Blundell on the Morrison’s SH list who owned about 1m shares at the time and he was sitting in the front row and did not know it.
Anyway hope the beers are chilled and popcorn is by your side.

this vindicates what i have been saying ... "over suppression" can have major implications further down the line

“In some ways, Scotland is a victim of its success - fewer people had the virus in the first and second waves so it has more opportunities to jump now,” says Prof Devi Sridhar, an advisor to the Scottish government. “Now we have got to get vaccinating as quickly as we can.”

Who could possibly argue with doped-up 'logic' of such clarity as that.
.
Unlees, of course, one CANnot see that, by playing on HIS EGO, and using HIS dire grasp of mathematics, Lozan DREW HIM into switching 'a ludicroud bet' from a possition to HIS advantage ... into a 'possition' to HIS disadvantage =
Shifting HIS bet from 44p ... to £4
Even regarding a TOTALLY MEANINGLESS bet.

Sooo EASY to 'ROPE A DOPE'
Especially when, the DOPE in question - doesn't even realise HE was 'manipulated'

The Bigger picture than "lockdown borders"

Suicides rise in Thailand as Covid decimates its tourism industry
Health officials compare the country’s current economic situation to the 1997 Asian financial crisis, when suicide increased by over 20pc

The rate of suicide had already been increasing year-on-year in Thailand pre-pandemic, but during Covid-19, the figure leapt by 11 per cent from 2019 to the end of 2020, from 4,581 to 5,085 deaths, according to statistics from the Ministry for Health.

There have long been fears that Covid-19, and the restrictions brought in to contain it, could lead to a mental health crisis and a possible increase in suicide rates around the globe.

Alongside the fear of the disease itself and potential bereavement, experts also point to some of the features of lockdown, such as isolation, loneliness, the loss of social support networks, unemployment, and financial insecurity as being destructive to mental health.

Economic insecurity is particularly toxic: a recent paper in The Lancet predicted that job losses due to Covid could lead to an additional 9,750 suicides annually. Close to 800,000 people already lose their lives to suicide every year; and the WHO estimates that 20 more people make an attempt for every death, although numbers are vastly underreported.

One other point ....

This Virus is now so transmissible its able to move in the "off Season"

last year it couldn't .......

so the lock down rules to stop it would have to be even more "Draconian"

Australia ..... suppressed the original virus ...... was clear of virus

the variants have now evaded that "defence"

they did not go for mass vaccination ........

which was UK policy ........... herd immunity

Tf .. population of Uk V world ... its small

with cases at 26,000 per day lets say lasting 5 days for the majority = 125,000 approx "infected days" for a virus to mutate

the current infect rate is approx 400,000 per day .. world wide

we are small

yes we will see the mutations from Uk that have the capability over time to bypass vaccine immunity but that would happen anyway .... naturally but over a longer time period as people got infected then if the virus wants to stay in the game it has to change to defeat the natural immunity it created

I told you this from the start "suppressing" is not stopping "the only change is time" ... in effect you slow the death rate

however the time has given us the vaccines .........

but now its a race against the vaccines .. to stay a head the vaccine has to be Universal

the Flu vaccines allows that window because the start of the season is not here ...and they estimate what it will be "universal yearly" but it still KILLS at an acceptable rate

we don't have the history of the virus over decades to do that with this new virus

but we will get used to the "acceptable rate"... death is an inevitable part of living

One would think that the first leg of the phase 1 trial will see pretty rapid recruitment, given the positivity rate from testing in South Africa:https://twitter.com/nicd_sa/status/1411006801303281667?s=20

Inan thanks for your reply 41374.

Re. my Q - 'IF Covidity was used as a prime vaccine would it be one or two jabs ?'.
A - So we'll discover this as the clinical trials progress. Thanks.

Re. my Q - 'In the climate of 'tolerating' rising cases in the cause of freedom, do we provide the conditions for new variants to arise ?'
A - 'you can't look at the UK in isolation as our population is not that big'.

Is that really so Inan ? I'd read that the more virus in circulation the greater is the chance that a variant will arise. Kent ?

I'm appalled to see cases rising like this in the UK.

Yep Inanaco you were kind enough to give me a lead on the share price so leaving out the spin offs means it is a straightforward bet on the share price
TBH I don’t think it will be a particularly close one as if SCLP wins I reckon it will be by a big amount as data validation of the science will increase the share price exponentially and if ORPH wins it is likely that the SCLP science has not had that game changing news but that gives SCLP 12 months to get that news and I am sure that is plenty of time so yep a good bet
