a reminder ...

Scancell is not using electroporation

The objective of the study will be to assess the safety and immunogenicity of the two candidates in unvaccinated individuals and will have two cohorts assessing different doses of SCOV1 and SCOV2 using two different needle-free injection methods. In addition to evaluating the VNAbs, the Company will also analyse the T cell responses to the N protein, which will provide additional information and data on the potential utility of both SCOV1 and SCOV2 against future SARS-CoV-2 variants.

obviously scancell are further ahead

Perspective,,,An Alternative View -
For over a year or so, the driving factor, for the "We are MINTED" CLUB, has centred on the 'award' of £2 million UK gov PUBLIC money towards SCLP research into *Covid Cure*. This £2 mill 'award' set the S P, and expectations, off skywards - fair enough.
What exactly were SCLP expected to do with £2 mill ??? Come up with a Covid Cure ???
Over the years, HOW MUCH has SCLP spent - EACH YEAR - trying to attain it's core business = Fighting melanoma ...Several times £2 mill.Circa £500,000 A MONTH
How much does a mere £2 million represent, when compared to the 100s of £millions of PUBLIC moneys 'awarded' to 'dodgy deals' / U K gov 'Mates CONtracts' ???
How does £2 million for little old SCLP compare to the MULTI millions BIG PHARMAs and others have comitted to finding a CovVAX ???
The best anyone has come-up with to date is a CovVax that doesn't work = Doesn't stop one getting infected, nor stop transmitting it,
A CovVax more dangerous than the infection.
Did investor punters REALLY expect SCLP to 'Move mountains' for £2 million ???
Some DID... Some still do
The 'dark forces' INSIST their/HIS amateur science CANnot be questioned =£8+ a share is a CERTAINTY.
However, There are those who INSIST ... 'The Earth is FLAT'

after

HE purposefully DID NOT want to 'back HIS BUY,BUY,BUY mantra of "£8+ a share", but chose an attainable / hoped for = mere 44p.

"""""""attainable""""""""""""""" hoped for = mere 44p.

Tf ... all depends on immunogenicity of the targets

if you read the trial data on scib1 for some it took up to 10 doses to get a response across all antigens but the majority of those issues is weak expression and the environment ie the immune system is actually suppressing itself so it takes the High Avidity t cells which respond to very low antigen level and those same t cells have to flip the environment from a suppression of t cells to a proinflammatory, in scancells case they will add Keytruda which blocks one of those suppression elements, which should give the extra kick to the t cells to flip the environment, and that is all it needs to do, because once flipped the T cells will always win .........

the fact that we survive approx 80 years is testament to that

so you will constantly see Th1 as very important in any vaccine as that flips the t cell to proinflammatory on activation

we know Immunobody does that

what we have that the others don't is ""speed"" our t cells will respond to extremely low levels of virus and they will do that within a pro inflammatory environment which brings in other immune effector cells ...

= you don't even know that you have been infected the t cells clear it so fast it never gets a foothold

other vaccines will eventually end up with high quality memory T cells once you have been infected by the actual virus but that could take days for the immune system to clone out the best t cells .... because the t cells in a humoral response are not the prime driver that is antibodies .... and those t cells are not high avidity so require quite a bit of stimulation by the virus to kick start

would that require one or two dose from Scancell ..... only the trials will give us that data .. because some may indeed only require 1 dose but others as your vaccinating every one may require two .. so the two dose regime may be required

the vehicle ......

2. Cases are running away in the UK now and after a time, hospitalisations and deaths are likely to rise again. In the climate of 'tolerating' rising cases in the cause of freedom, do we provide a vehicle for new variants ? Simple question - no politics.

you cant look at the UK in isolation as our population is not that big

Yes if the SCOVS DO trial well there's a massive opportunity in both prime vaccination (billions around the World will still need vaccines in 2022) as well as top ups everywhere.

2 questions :-

1.IF Covidity was used as a prime vaccine would it be one or two jabs ?

2. Cases are running away in the UK now and after a time, hospitalisations and deaths are likely to rise again. In the climate of 'tolerating' rising cases in the cause of freedom, do we provide the conditions for new variants to arise ? Simple question - no politics.

Tf what i am interested in is what the Gov plans for the next booster shot starting Sept, seems the trials indicate that mixed 1st gen Jabs are effective, and i cant see updated Delta variants available till next year.

meanwhile the current vaccines are not good enough to stop mild infection so the virus still has a chance to circumnavigate

Scancell has a window to prove up the Scov's and go universal for a mass vaccination starting next year probably h2

genexine may have a universal DNA but carries all the baggage of electroporation and "high Avidity" is missing

Lets hope the "validated Mouse" data from Scib1 carries over to the Scov program ..

you can see why Lozan would not Short the share ....

The ‘black fungus’ killing hundreds across India could be related to the country’s highly infectious coronavirus variant, rather than overuse of steroids, Indian specialists believe.

It is thought that the new strain, known as “Delta” or B.1.617, is causing unprecedented damage to the pancreas of otherwise healthy people, triggering sudden onset diabetes and soaring blood glucose levels.

This allows the deadly flesh eating fungus to thrive. The warnings from Indian doctors come amid growing concerns about the spread of the variant in the UK, where Delta is now dominant.

On Thursday a Public Health England report suggested the strain is more likely to lead to hospitalisations than the Alpha variant first detected in Kent last autumn.

Over the last week, the Telegraph visited ten hospitals across the western Indian state of Maharashtra, where doctors are treating thousands of patients struck down by the devastating “black fungus”.

Hi SN,
The canine version of Coronavirus is very mild and uncommon. Most virus’s and pathogens don’t effect pets and humans in the same way so the danger is in them becoming zoonotic rather than the how they effect the host.

Ivy - doesn't seem to kill the pets, so no problem. But it would be funny if a new variant arrived from the cat pool that could transfer to humans :¬)
