They have the extension they wanted, so they will get around to updating shareholders as and when it is convenient to them.

I've always wondered why folk post the wording of a rns, sometimes cluttering up a board, when it's just as efficient to post a link.

South Sudan Acquisition Update

Further to the Company's announcement on 1 February 2024, the Company confirms that it remains suspended from trading on AIM, with a revised cancellation date of 17 May 2024, whilst it continues to advance the various workstreams, including receipt of in-country approvals, required to complete the acquisition of PETRONAS International Corporation Limited's energy business in South Sudan.

The Company will provide a more detailed update regarding the ongoing process to complete the transaction during the course of next week.

I actually agreed with RRs wording. I remember seeing the extra ‘the’. I think it may have been corrected as a non material typo.

have different meanings. AN RNS could have landed today but it isn't yet late by SAVE's forecast time frame.

I always had Friday or not this week as the two most likely options. It’s not the first time, but the excitable young chap didn’t have that perspective.

Pedantic, moi? You were the one counting the minutes. Within a week sure, but in the course of the next week means not in the course of this week nor in the course of the last week.

Anyway, as long as it’s worth reading I don’t care when it is as long as it’s in the course of this week….

Tomorrow is Thursday; it can come on Friday. The RNS said it would be in the course of the week, not within this financial year.

Yes you have some good points, maybe the regulators have said you have to give more reason and justification on the various work streams involved to keep suspended for another couple of months. So SAVE have just put out a quick RNS to say, hey were still suspended but will give you more info next week to please them.

Hope fully will get some better news next week, I think everything is done to be honest, or 90 95% done and just waiting for the official Government approval.

After what happened in Chad it seems AK is not shifting until he has proper official approval, which makes sense, not even releasing and AD as probably don`t wnt to look like he's jumping the gun.

Well I'm feeling positive ( first time in a while). I know one thing AK is a tryer. I know some have wobbles on here but stay positive. Give him the credit he deserves. UWG - hi matey on hols at mo on 3 week well needed break. Just popping in now and again. To be fair it could be anything and even as minor as AIM / NOMAD agreeing a further extension but with a clause that they give holders some sort of update. I do know NOMAD and AIM have been given a tough time of late from a quite a few people. What I fail to see is what value the RNS added yesterday and what needs to change or can change before another update within the next week! Surely, whatever we see in the RNS next week would have been know last night or by Tuesday morning when they could have simply issued 1 RNS instead of 2. Or is there a compelling / important event happening sometime next week that they need to wait for before updating us. And re the deal, yes I would be extremely happy should the deal complete, albeit ATM we'll be able to count the reserves numbers but 0boepd production due to the export pipeline issued due to the was in Sudan. That said, the Chinese will be all over that like a rash with Governments and all sides of the warring factions and will be indirectly fighting our corner.I do not believe Sunak that there are green shoots in the UK economy but I firmly believe there are a few acorns germinating and even starting to sprout which will eventually turn in to very healthy Savannah Oak trees.PS I know there are different sites to see the USD/NGN fx rate but the one I see says 1,393. Let's see this get to
