Good grief you are negative! Equity is cheap. There will be bumps on way but it’s a good ling term investment.

God forbid when you look at that header long term chart...Aug 2017 to Dec 2017 then the waterfall to 124p...has similarities from May 2018 to current!...is there another waterfall coming?...

Why is it worth split up? The value of this thing is the name and the ability to leverage the Saga brand. Splitting it up would obviate that key usp. So don’t agree, doesn’t work split up. As for it treading water, it will until it gets some positive momentum in eps.

This is it after Esure this is the next one! Speculation alone is worth a good 20 basis points. There was me thinking I was over exposed to Insurance co's watch tomorrows movement. im so so deep I have a smile on my face ear to ear baby (boiler room)

Would have hoped for a little fizz of excitement here after the Esure bid, but not a sausage...oh well

I dont know about manipulation here per se, but there is certainly a determined seller. Its getting boring to see the intra-day chart just go horizontal as the price is capped for the day by persons unknown

Sometimes when I look the ADVFN SAGA page on my laptop, I see a bumble bee buzzing around a couple of graphs. Not only on this page but other shares. Not sure if I need to visit an Optician. If it is meant to be there, can someone explain what is the point of it.

Not really. The power of the earnings comes from the Saga banner and the focus on the over 50’s segment of the population. The reason the shares are unloved is simply lack of earnings momentum. All v well a 7% yield but if there is no growth then the shares won’t budge. So on the current rating there is no great expectation. If eps starts growing then it’ll get rerated. Until then it won’t.

One of those days where theres good AT buying interest at a certain level (122p) but a seemingly endless supply of stock to match it

Intra day chart tells the story - someone is still offloading and until they stop or are cleared we probably wont be going anywhere

If I remember correctly at the time of Saga flotation there was confusion amongst some so called experts as to which sector of the market it would be trading under...as it has Leisure and Insurance...it is currently under the General Retailer sector with sub sector: Specialized Consumer services...think the board need to address this to realise price premium...probably worth more split up and trading in correct appropriate sectors...

Ok. Rating looks okay and cash generation of underlying business continues to support the dividend. I’ve bought it for the leverage the brand offers into an ageing population. Quite like the cruise idea but it’s a v competitive mkt with new entrants. Insurance broking makes sense instead of direct selling - leverages brand again and frees capital. Debt is not onerous. But get sense the business is struggling to meet profit expectations right now hence static share price. But longer term it looks ok and dividend assuming its sustainable, fills the gaps.?
