You can tell when the algos are playing tag with each other when the intra day chart goes horizontal like today...

There have been some large trades mixed in with the AT noise - 500k @ 134 12:22 for one

Either get taken over or merge with another leisure company...board should explore all possibilities in the best interest of shareholders..

Aye its showing a willingness to go higher, but then these trading algos kick in and we go down again.

All part of the game I guess - maybe have to wait for another RNS to see if DB have continued offloading

Certainly looks like it will be a battle to hold gains, as there appear to be some very active iceberg sell orders

Whether this is Deutsche who knows, but at least we are still positive :)

In the eighties it was very popular...those same people are now in the 50 - 80 club...

Thompson could well be looking in here..somebody just takeover this outfit...

Imastu, strategy errors do pop up now and again, centrica is one of mine but not the only one. Fortunately BP. Is doing well for me but centrica is going to take some sorting. I did hold Saga but sold just over 200p not been tempted back in yet.
Good luck with your ventures :-)

Ah, I remember the days of Le Gap d'Opto...

I would be in (and out of) BP, and will be again I would think, but sadly marooned elsewhere on (let us say) a strategy error. Six years and counting - not joking, only wish I was. Pension SIPP, so still plenty of time to resolve.

SAGA one of the other options, diversification etc, along with GSK. BP will also be one of them, although its recent surge means I will probably wait. SAGA also fits in increasingly well with my time of life...

:-)

imastu, good to see you are still around...now what about the BP thread are you away from that now? Idioterna was another great poster who has now gone missing as well, if he is still holding he should be well in front now...and not before time.

Quite happy if it drifts down - I wanted to buy in lower, earlier, but had no funds available until the mid 130s. And I would like some more, so the lower the better.

Expected price action along the daily trend line. The dividend seekers are exiting. The swing traders should buy in, however they would like to leave it for as late as possible to get a better price.

The fundamentals are in line so hopefully the sell off should abate sooner rather than later.

Trading update in about a month's time, before which it can retest recent highs if the overall market supports.

That is quite possible I guess, with a lot depending on whether DB will be continuing to flood the market.

Today following the same path as yesterday....smacked down quite hard at the start, then slowly clawing it back.

No problem...happy to help

The run up to going ex-div wasnt typical, as there was a constant heavy flow of new sell orders onto SETS. I am assuming that was mainly DB, and to be honest we dont know when they will finish. Could of course be wrong.

In any event, we were actually up on today once the 6p XD is accounted for. Whether that was due to interest in Saga, or just the market as a whole being nicely up - who knows? :)

NAV_Mike. Many thanks for the information. I should have looked at that RNS before I asked the question. I have now read it and now get the reason for diku's and your comments.
