May move at 50p or slightly under that next week, previous ideal target was 40-44p.

I am not investing but a pure gamble as BoD's are useless and if you don't beleive me look at the sP

Assuming sentiment changes on the basis of a stabilised and more promising business, a jump can come any time, so imo anywhere around here is a buy.

Centrica has had almost the same pattern of a very gradual rise after the last big plummet and then jumped. The results weren't amazing so presumably what happened is that all the sellers got out gradually and there has been steady, cautious buying for some time.

Then when a load more people feel safe to invest, there aren't many shares around.

I dont think any particular reason for the pull back other than testing the break to 60p as another posted mentioned. there has been a general sentiment shift this week as demonstrated in the main and mid cap indices. share price could be under pressure for next few weeks as uncertainty builds around election and us/china fears etc.
the two new appointments in newly created roles are a good sign the company are serious and committed to executing the turnaround strategy effectively going forward. i like that the two individuals appointed are from insurance backgrounds having held senior appointments in other leading insurers. i am sure they will bring much needed additional expertise in this area of the company and may have other ideas to help boost efficiency/profitability.
hopefully, a similarly well suited new chairman announcement will be forthcoming soon to give investors peace of mind that there is a strong and experienced individual to steer the company forward.
i am sure the third quarter results were good for which a glimpse was seen in the meeting held earlier this month (for the cruise side) showing strong forward bookings and at higher than expected revenues.
not sure if anyone else has noticed but the company has had a relentless tv/radio advertising campaign in the last couple of months covering insurance, savings with goldman and the cruise liners. just hoping that this exposure is paying off in terms of sales increases!

Think once we get by the ex divi period, the price will resume its upward trend as the buying increases

Be careful, doesn't sound like they might be cooked properly.

Greetings from Kota Kinabalu where I'm enjoying my last few days of my Titan Borneo Wild Life tour. Kept bumping into the Saga tour and both were full so unless Saga badly mispriced the tours they seem to be getting on well on escorted tours at least. Back to the grilled tiger prawns..oh and it's only 32 degrees.

Price down as more selling than buying pressure today. Overall uptrend very much intact. Everything else is noise

No idea why the share price is down 3% today except very low volume as the ex divi period coming to an end. I’m not an expert in corporate structures but it always seemed to me that Saga was rather top heavy with non execs and good now to have 2 new executive directors. Am feeling very confident that the company can go from strength to strength without breaking it up.
