19/1/2005 00:28 | Seemingly there will be just over 51m of Ordinary shares in each new subsidiary | jeff h
19/1/2005 00:18 | You make it sound even better, Thanks... | 8 ball
18/1/2005 20:46 | Yes, that's right IMO. If these are founder shares at 0.1p per share say and the new issue price is 1p (secondary placing) then the upside COULD be very significant - However, you need a reasonably sizeable holding in SAF to benefit. Need to see the circular before I comment further. This is all very exciting. I'd invest in a LL shell..wouldn't you? + great to get in at the same level as the directors. | topvest
18/1/2005 19:22 | Good rise in the share price on this news. Not sure I have got my head around it. Shareholder with for example 1000 SAF shares will get 2500 shares in seven new companies and still hold 1000 SAF. | 8 ball
18/1/2005 18:35 | float 7 (!) subsidiaries on AIM ? Is there going to be 8 (!) companies after this ? | mikeatwork22
18/1/2005 18:14 | Scroll back through the thread and I used to talk about 'Buy 1 get 1 free'.....never thought it would be buy 1 get 7 x 2.5 = 17.5 free!! Presumably it was Peter O'Reilly who bought the 154k last week. As topvest says, exciting times ahead. | jeff h
18/1/2005 12:01 | I've added some more. Hybrasil - IMO there was no need to offer shareholders an entry into these vehicles through Safeland, but they have. If they were going to stitch-up the shareholders then they could have done so by now imo. What about Safeland being re-rated in the market as a property trader + investment fund for new AIM vehicles. This has started today. I might be wrong and Safeland may still go private, but this move makes it less likely imo. They seem to like Safeland being their principal quoted vehicle and this position may well continue. More interesting times ahead here! | topvest
18/1/2005 09:33 | Suppose this is the same L.L. who took the hps price from a good price to 80p? He sold out. | chelle
18/1/2005 09:29 | What a great move upwards! | hybrasil
18/1/2005 09:04 | anyone bought anymore this am??? | hybrasil
18/1/2005 08:34 | maybe the IC/Shares etc will stop calling it 'boring,unexciting Safeland' etc | jeff h
18/1/2005 08:34 | topvest I have just been thinking on what you say about this going private. I would have thought the opposite. They can use one of these vehicles to take out of Safeland what they do not want and then take it private. I await the documents with interest. As to Espacia (the italian self storage)you will remember that this was the original entity to be put into tecc-is but for some reason they could not do that so it looks like it will end up in one of the magnificent seven. | hybrasil
18/1/2005 08:07 | Another observation. The "founder shares" are at 0.1p. For most shells the listing price is normally 1p in this situation. The "real value" if these are listed may be many fold higher than the dividend en specie book value. | topvest
18/1/2005 08:05 | I suspect one of the vehicles will buy the Italian storage business. This sort of move is not consistent with taking Safeland private - again, excellent news. Looks like our faith in LL has been rewarded, Hybrasil! | topvest
18/1/2005 07:44 | Yes and these vehicles come only at the moment to 1.6p but look what Mr Lipman has done in the past. I would have liked him to demerge espacio but it seems this hasnt happened as this seems to be worth much more that 1.6p. I think it is a very positive step (having said that I'd like to read more than the rns but effectively its a free gift in 7 vehicles!) | hybrasil
18/1/2005 07:33 | Well what an announcement this morning! 7 new acquisition vehicles have been set-up. Larry Lipman is back! It is very equitable that shareholders get a share in these - excellent! We are effectively founder shareholders in the new vehicles. I wonder what this will do to the share price this morning? Tempted to add some more before the record date. | topvest
17/1/2005 08:59 | Yes I also have a few shares in Bizspace - great performance from the Safeland price. I suppose the company buy backs are beginning to work and to squeeze the share price Interesting to see that Daejan (the freshwaters one of the shrewdest in the business) are now saying that it is time for buying property. LL will really then come in to his own if the trading position increases. | hybrasil
17/1/2005 08:34 | Bizspace RNS this morning. They state property NAV understated in accounts. | hugepants
12/1/2005 20:54 | I was thinking of adding some more. Think I'll leave it a while given the price increase. Still cheap on fundamentals, but there are concerns about realising this value for minority shareholders. | topvest
12/1/2005 09:28 | bought a few more today | hybrasil
11/1/2005 08:25 | Yes huge pants you are right. Sir Tom Farmer of kwik fit has effectively bought tecc-is | hybrasil
11/1/2005 00:03 | Tecc-IS was up 8% today. From memory SAF holds 25% | hugepants
10/1/2005 22:41 | i bought today at 59p and i am sure that the 145000 was also a buy. Even still on hugepants 103p nav there is nothing wrong with this price | hybrasil
10/1/2005 19:01 | Nice rise today. Any reason??? Looked at trades for today and only one of size was a 145,000 sell at 59p. Could this have been a buy? | 8 ball
07/1/2005 18:02 | If the share price remains at this level we may see another Buyback. In the meantime gives us all chance to increase holding. | 8 ball |
