06/12/2019 16:25 | (CNN)A senior British diplomat in the US has quit with a blast at the UK government over Brexit, saying she could no longer "peddle half-truths" on behalf of political leaders she did not "trust." In a searing resignation letter delivered just over a week before the UK general election, Alexandra Hall Hall, the lead envoy for Brexit in the British Embassy in Washington, said that she had become increasingly dismayed by the demands placed on the British civil service to deliver messages on Brexit which were not "fully honest." | leedskier

06/12/2019 15:39 | Polar fox If peeps on here want to throw slander and personal comments they should not get annoyed when that person puts some back. In both cases, cfc1 and stewart_25 verbally attacked me before I put anything back to them. In fact stewart_25 decided to involve himself in the snipes when I retaliated to cfc1, it was nothing to do with him. He must be one of those people who likes to be in an argument. Why Should I stand for it, and not have my voice. This thread has become a shambles with people who think its ok to do that and they don't like it when you hit back I don't really care about any personal comment here, they have no value to me know me or anything to warrant a value, actually, the more they say I just feed it back to them so it increases there stress levels and I find that funny. The want to live a life of feeling angry, I'll just make it worse for them. Wind them up and watch them goo0000o lol. Looks like my prediction of up today down on Monday is half filled already which is what started cfc1 off in the first place, crazy lol. | delphiman
06/12/2019 15:03 | stewart, Why don't you simply put all the turkeys posting on this thread on filter? It usually takes only 2-3 posts from any given poster to decide whether their posts are a waste of space or not. | polar fox
06/12/2019 14:08 | Electoral Calculus has trimmed the CON maj from 30 yesterday, to just 20 today. There's a hell of a lot at stake with the flood of polls due out in the next couple of days or so. Breakdown: 335 - 233 - 15 - 44. | polar fox
06/12/2019 13:57 | Poll out this morning: The race for No 10 has tightened as Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn enter the final lap, an exclusive Ipsos MORI poll for the Evening Standard reveals today. Labour are gaining support and have narrowed the gap, while the embattled leader has improved his personal ratings. The state of the election, with just six days left of campaigning, has the Conservatives on 44 per cent (unchanged since two weeks ago), Labour on 32 per cent (up four points from 28), the Liberal Democrats squeezed to 13 (down three) and the Brexit Party on two per cent (down one). With the Tories 12 points ahead, the detailed survey will boost Tory hopes of an overall majority. unquote | polar fox
06/12/2019 13:35 | C4 for the chop.. Channel 4 have been caught out smearing Boris – by mis-captioning his speech from yesterday and replacing the word ‘talent’ for ‘colour’ Boris, speaking in Derbyshire, said he was “in favour of having people of talent come to this country”, however when Channel 4 uploaded the clip they claimed he said “people of colour” – listen for yourself above. Boris uses the quote so often it could be considered his catchphrase (for example in this BBC interview), yet Channel 4 took it upon themselves to mislead thousands. | maxk
06/12/2019 12:28 | add: In fact the majority in NI want to remain in the customs union. | leedskier
06/12/2019 12:27 | What BJ is saying about all of this is that NI is not being forced to remain in the customs union, Stormont can vote to leave whenever it chooses. However as the DUP is preventing it from sitting, it currently has no powers and cannot vote on anything. | leedskier |
