26/4/2019 08:20 | In case anyone hasn't seen it. "Royal Bank of Scotland warned uncertainty over Brexit would make trading more difficult as falling revenue drove a 16% fall in first-quarter profit. Operating profit before tax for the three months to the end of March dropped to £1.01bn from £1.21bn a year earlier as total income fell to £3.04bn from £3.30bn." | luderitz
26/4/2019 08:18 | cant believe the drop. OK missed on profit but who hasnt recently. But the drop seems over done to me. No wonder the CEO has resigned. From an share price perspective alone he has failed investors. | cfc1
26/4/2019 07:59 | I agree polar fox, a bit lean looking and outlook not exactly bursting with enthusiasm either, can't see market loving it. Having said that, the share price will now go up just to be contrarian! | cwa1
26/4/2019 07:23 | Just a quick look, as I have to go out. But can't say I'm much impressed, on several aspects. The dividend consensus has been steady around 12p for weeks, but it will require an attributable profit of something like £1bn a quarter to achieve that, I believe. So it will be interesting to see whether the consensus shifts in the weeks ahead. Overall, I doubt the market is going to be best pleased. | polar fox
25/4/2019 19:20 | Dividend to arrive on the 30th something to look forward to | smurfy2001
25/4/2019 18:13 | Nothing unusual or unexpected in the AGM voting numbers, even on the remuneration front. Let's see what the Q1 numbers look like tomorrow. | polar fox
25/4/2019 17:33 | hmm if Alison Rose becomes CEO I think it will be excellent for the share price - she is massively regarded in the city and seen as a 'high flyer' | cfc1

25/4/2019 15:36 | The live AGM is rather grim as per usual cfc1, not checked the charts for some time will check soon. | smurfy2001
25/4/2019 15:24 | smurfs...you were spot on AGAIN with analysis of share price movement - you seem to get it right and recently predicted a downtrend - what do the charts indicate from here? | cfc1
25/4/2019 14:45 | Leeds - whats your view? | cfc1
25/4/2019 14:02 | AGM RNS - reading it still. | polar fox
25/4/2019 13:52 | CityAM seems to think that RM may have resigned ahead of the AGM because: Investors have been urged to vote against RBS’s remuneration report, with shareholder advisory group Pirc describing McEwan’s £3.6m pay package as “excessive. Shareholder rights group ShareSoc also criticised the New Zealander’s pension add-ons - 35 per cent of his salary compared to 10 per cent for all other employees - as “nonsense.R unquote | polar fox
25/4/2019 12:53 | well I am amazed at the resignation - especially now. I wonder what the AGM will throw up. Seems v strange timing as the bank turns the corner. | cfc1
25/4/2019 09:21 | Shame the CEO left as he was adamant he wasn't going. If you're not vote to pay the man then l guess you leave. | smurfy2001
25/4/2019 07:57 | An insider = more of the same. | maxk
25/4/2019 07:55 | Bear in mind also, that the AGM is at 2pm, so there should be plenty more official and unofficial comment to come later. | polar fox
25/4/2019 07:47 | One tweet in reaction: Long rumoured, but unexpected timing! Some well-established contenders, especially Alison Rose, but there'll be plenty of pressure on the govt from those not happy with the idea of an insider. # | polar fox
25/4/2019 07:25 | There has long been a suggestion that he would go by 2020. A female CEO next? | polar fox
