14/6/2019 08:59 | Leeds - btw - who would you like to be PM from ANY party??? | cfc1
14/6/2019 08:58 | Leeds - dunno. I think its the threat of Corbyn and the stall on the economy + low interest rates. Why RBS don't issue a share buyback I have no idea!! But having got optimistic at 270 we are now negative (as per bloody usual) for the year. | cfc1
14/6/2019 08:51 | If Boris is to be anointed as the right hand of God, why no uplift to bank shares or the currency? | leedskier
12/6/2019 09:56 | smurfy - do you ever call the investment team? I agree we NEED something to boost the share price Ok, interest rates are low, brexit not helping but does that really equate to an share price of 21p equ again!!!!!!!! | cfc1
11/6/2019 17:48 | come on Boris...go bash the HoP and especially Corbyn and his idiots! | cfc1
11/6/2019 12:04 | Well that’s a shame but not a surprise given where the share price is at. So perhaps a bonus interim dividend will be paid? | smurfy2001
11/6/2019 07:18 | I see Morgan Stanley made some comment last week, which I don't think has been posted on here: RBS share buyback to be delayed. On Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC (LON:RBS), Morgan Stanley left its ‘equal-weight& Morgan Stanley thinks the state-backed bank’s plan to buy up to £1.5bn worth of shares from the government won’t happen until 2020, a year later than it previously expected. It also believes political uncertainty related to Brexit will lead to a delay to interest rate hikes until the second half of 2020, which will hit RBS earnings. Morgan Stanley said lower rates and share buybacks drive its decrease in earnings estimates for RBS. “With less yield support in the short term, and our earnings below guidance and consensus, we remain Equal-weight,” it said. unquote | polar fox
10/6/2019 14:13 | It's a tidy sum. | maxk
10/6/2019 09:51 | GDP and Manufacturing data very weak. | leedskier
10/6/2019 08:30 | I think a lot of share holder want the government stake down below 50 percent ASAP to try and protect RBS from any potential Labour meddling | tfergi
07/6/2019 13:57 | Ramco, we're for RBS to purchase shares from the government to reduce their stake in the bank. Seems a better use of capital in my view increase EPS, reduce shares in issue. | smurfy2001
07/6/2019 13:47 | It's a poor economy indeed when the best investment for a company is to repurchase its own shares....and for shareholders to be pleading for this to happen..LOLS guess pragmatism for any type of gain kicks in and runs deep when no better option has been or is available....;) | ramco
06/6/2019 16:33 | Smurfs...apparently we already have 2p (for Q1) in numbers (I spoke to investor team) and I suspect divis/special to match 2018 at least | cfc1
06/6/2019 14:00 | Indeed at these prices may as well buy back from the market. 02 Aug 2019 RBS Q2 Results 2019 | smurfy2001
06/6/2019 13:54 | I cant fathom why RBS are not initiating a share buyback given SP??????? Or am I missing something? | cfc1
05/6/2019 22:10 | Or it could be a Gove (closet remainer) v Hunt (closet remainer) run-off MP's dont care for Boris (and not sure about him either) So it would provide the perfect solution for remainers, another stayer tricked out as a goer. Trebles all round in Brussels/Berlin . End of the tory party...but no one cares. | maxk
05/6/2019 21:10 | Part of a Peston tweet this evening: According to sources, opinion among One Nation MPs is divided about whether it will be Gove or Hunt in the final run-off with Johnson (who they all assume is the candidate to beat). unquote | polar fox
05/6/2019 09:14 | wonder if that c&*t Sadiq Khan is celebrating D-Day - he probably doesnt even know what it is....hmmm I better over 50% of so called British citizens even care | cfc1
