Sounds to me like the usual opportunities being exploited for fund managers to cause a concern and then charge in after it.

Perhaps 'Neil Jones, head of hedge-fund sales at Mizuho Bank Ltd' ought to have said 'we are peddling this angle like crazy whilst shorting the £'

Not a single one of them can offer objectivity regardless of how they might try, and believe, they are.
