In the UK we do not have plea bargaining. A crazy system. Cut deal or get life without parole or fined 14.5 billion.

In the England those charged who plead guilty, get a one-third discount for a guilty plea. In the US it is all up for negotiation.

We talk about it because very relevant to bank shares and this is a BB for a bank which just happens to be in the queue for a US 'fine' or civil claim.

DB will not pay a fine anywhere near $14bn.

Why do we waste time talking about it.
Merkel will not let it happen, and neither would any other leader.

I guess traders make money from this bogus excitement.
