email reply from key exec at RBS....>>>>>>>>>>

You will see earlier in the week that we have settled one of the US cases, for an amount which was covered by previous provisions. The largest, the DoJ, is still ongoing and we can’t say anything further on this until we hear more from the DoJ. As we discussed previously we are doing all we can to expedite this one but its not in our hands.

Our underlying businesses continue to produce positive results and you will have seen our refreshed brand strategy which has launched over the last few days. Unfortunately, as we have discussed, there are still a number of hurdles in respect of conduct and litigation issues which we have to get through before we get to the position of paying dividends on our ordinary shares.

I understand that this continues to be very disappointing for our shareholders.

The fine is well anticipated. been known about for five years. Anything below expected could see share price well up.
However, it will probably tank as per usual.

bought some more rbs/lloy today earlier.
RBS at 1.69 was too tempting.
high risk/reward.

Central bankers will be forced to raise rates as governments do their bit to offset the effects.
The tactic of near zero interest rates to save the system is now destroying it.
Fisher (the Feds no.2) said recently that he hated ultra low interest rates.

The mood id changing.
be first.

Type in dbk .... In the search field

Can also type in UKX, MCX and AXX plus any share or indices. All live prices.

When looking at UKX on the right hand side of the webpage you should see global indices changes.

maxk different.

Ring fencing is when one activity is insulated from another activity, to prevent harm to one causing harm to the other.

Chinese walls are customs and practices often created to allow two or more competing activities within the same physical structure often with common adminstration/management, for example two barristers from the same Chambers appearing on opposing sides in the same case, to ensure no conflict of interest.
