Been looking through todays sells, been a few big sells last few days, wouldnt be surprised to see a tr1 someone selling out or derisking alittle cavendish or somebody. Just a hunch

They always state the amount of 'restricted cash' which is presumably set aside for clean up. If its thought to be inadequate does anyone with industry knowledge have a different number.

I wasn't saying that they should have all of the money now, just that all the cash on hand is not necessarily available to spend but potentially a provision against future liabilities and at <$40 it will be harder to generate the required cash, hence where we are today.

RRE picked these assets up 'cheaply' as others didn't want to carry that risk.

Why does everybody expect a young, fast growing company to have the money now that will be necessary for decommissioning assets due in ten years time?

Yeh 2 errors in my last comment. 1 should've said development rather than exploration 2. Should've emphasised it was only the cherry on top of the cake (I also like cake...) Anyway, I'll stop now as it's off-topic for here, even though I'm sure there's lots of other holders on here too!

A problem with RRE is that the cash on hand is dwarfed by future decommissioning liabilities so the '£20/share of cash' is irrelevant in terms of coming to a value.

JSE I'm fairly confident you're in good hands there. Superb cashflow, significant premia to Brent and some exploration potential in Vietnam. Also a respected poster there- Mount Teide - who seems to really know his stuff.

At this level RRE is either the buy of the year, or the biggest 'scam'. Hopefully all will be revealed in the week 23rd March when the annual results are announced.
