11/3/2020 10:04 | Just something not right about yesterday's interview. Body language, what wasn't said etc. rather than what was. Even answers on hedging, dividend, made me think back to the wideboys comment. Even the comment on cash, he kept referring to "we have plenty of cash on the balance sheet". He kept emphasising "on the balance sheet". Why use those 4 extra words? Why not just say cash or net cash? | ![]() pastybap
11/3/2020 09:53 | Each to thier own pasty, any reason you didnt atleast wait for financial results on the 23rd? Your money , your decision bud just wondering | ![]() gooner1886
11/3/2020 09:46 | After thinking about it overnight, I've sold again. I'm not one to usually flip flop like this, but something about yesterday's interview just reminded me of why I sold first time around. More to do with what wasn't said, than what was. | ![]() pastybap
11/3/2020 09:28 | We have all done that on various stocks....I have done it on tech. It is a risk in any stock at the moment but as this has more than halved and we do not know if we are going into a recession yet I have dipped a toe in for the first time. | ![]() hazl
11/3/2020 08:57 | Ok, that problem you mean. I sold some time ago on concerns over pensions, nat gas prices, decomms and a little feeling that just wouldn't go away. Not just here. Sold SQZ on prospect of LNG depressing gas prices in uk market. | ![]() fardels bear
11/3/2020 08:44 | 350p, sold half at 2175p. The capex spend this year is what worries me, so won't be adding more until at least cornovirus has started to burn itself out and we reach a bottom in Brent. | ![]() russiaguru

11/3/2020 06:15 | It is a problem for us PIs if taking it private means he grabs the lions share of any possible future valuation gain to the equivalent of £50. | ![]() divmad
10/3/2020 22:43 | I didn't say it was a problem. | ![]() fardels bear
10/3/2020 22:24 | I do not see that it is a problem if that is his end game. It won't go for less than the current share price and given the other shareholders probably for a substantial premium. It is not as if he is deliberately depressing the share price | dhb368
10/3/2020 22:08 | I'm convinced he intends to take it private. I believe he sees himself as a new Jim Ratcliffe. It's the hurry he's in that convinces me of it. | ![]() fardels bear
10/3/2020 21:54 | I'm not sure on the nuts and bolts of how this would work but if AA thinks RRE is the cheapest thing in the North Sea to buy then surely he's seriously considering taking it private? If that was the case then would it not be in his interest to keep the price low in order to do so? It was a decent enough interview but there's something about him and his near 30% interest makes me uneasy. If it's that easy to build up a company from a 50p/£5 million company buying unloved assets into a £200m+ one in 3 years or so wouldn't everyone do it? It's not like he's an Explorer who's suddenly hit a huge new find to justify a huge rerate. I'm wanting to buy some but holding off until the "dust settles" as Andrew himself says. | ![]() spawny100
10/3/2020 19:06 | I wonder if shearwater will come back to market, can't see PMO buying it now, it would have to be cheap, however I can see AA making hay over the next 2 years if the POO remains low over the medium term. Just a thought. GLA | simplemilltownboy
10/3/2020 18:57 | Yea tbf i can see abit of that in him, but he has prodcued for rre from 50pence a share. That should give people abit of trust surely?Everyone is entitled to thier opinion though obviously. He has delivered here for shareholders to this date | ![]() gooner1886
10/3/2020 18:49 | Yeh I get that too. Part of me even considered whether his meeting with the debt financiers is an attempt to fund a private buyout himself. He ignored Malcy when he suggested it. If I really believed that RRE are the cheapest producer in the North Sea and had the access to the finance, it's what I would do right now. | ![]() pastybap
10/3/2020 18:41 | Interesting interview with AA - he does still come across as a wide boy for me though. | ![]() nigelpm
10/3/2020 18:39 | Yea we could go a bit lower chaps, i didnt find the bottom at £10 myself but patience will be key here and well rewarded imo | ![]() gooner1886
10/3/2020 18:26 | I purchased a very small holding today but accept it might be too soon. | ![]() hazl
10/3/2020 18:24 | Just had half an hour to watch through AA interview with Malcy. I could be wrong and i have been wrong many times but i find AA completely genuine. Great interview from AA, spot on with everything he said. Valuation is bloody 'ludicrous' and i too would love to see '£50.00 a share' in the future. We may go even lower in the coming weeks as Coronavirus in the UK reaches it's peak and so there may well be cheaper opportunities to add shares but given results on or around the 23rd, an improving virus outlook and some sort of agreement between Opec and Putin and these shares have to start to reflect better the value of this business. | ![]() fozzie |
