More grumbling from management, doesn't present a good light. This business was reliant on the spending of inebriated late night crowds on high ticket items and couldn't make it work well in the past. Having turned away proposals previously only to further disappoint stakeholders interested parties may now wait for the pickings.

Very positive and forward looking update. Seems a very resilient business. Particularly interesting that 20 bars are now open outdoors, as from 12th April, with all 67 open inside and out from 17th May. Wonder if this is going to have a good run now. Seems like it might be coming round looking at today's price and volume.

However the younger age groups are not as at risk as the older groups, and they are also being given the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines which are better than the AZ vaccine given to the middle aged.hTTps://news.sky.com/story/covid-news-live-uk-latest-moderna-jabs-rolled-out-in-england-today-as-vaccination-programme-enters-next-phase-12274026

Spot on Barnet. If cases soar amongst the unvaccinated especially autumn /winter many will also choose to not visit pubs even if they are allowed to open .Many pubs and small venues will close for good .I think we are going to get venues where we have more civilised drinking .Table service and queuing at the bar maybe here for good .I just don't see crowded pubs shoulder to shoulder anymore .Maybe I'm wrong we shall see .

Sold out of RBG today. Good gain from 19p and last tax day of course. I just dont see the bars reopening for the young. They wont have the vaccine of course and I see outside only unless vaccine passport. Too risky with Europe in lockdown for the government to allow. Any further delay and this type of share and mkts in trouble. If they do go ahead and cases soar then local lockdowns are inevitable again. RBG can hold on for a good while but not for ever. I hope I am wrong. I really do. Stir crazy after 14 months. Sod the money. I just want to go for a quiet pint propping up the bar.

Thats a more sensible post than most I've read on these boards that don't want any lockdown .Hospitals couldn't cope with over 80 90 thousand or maybe more patients in at the same time .Many people have caught Covid in hospital .There will be greater planning for the next pandemic .And there will be one .A top south Korean expert that has predicted everything correct, has said unless man stops meddling with these animals and basically stops eating cr@p they could occur every 3 to 5 years We may get a Black death, this has been fairly mild in comparison.

That's probably true, give or take, and also that the 'excess deaths' (i.e. those in excess of the 'normal' death rate) is not at such a level to justify closing down the entire economy. I mean, it's not exactly the Black Death, is it, that killed c.50% of the European population around 1350?! The issue for Governments seems to have been around protecting their health services ("Save Our NHS") because they didn't want to see hospitals overwhelmed. One would hope that in planning for the next pandemic they think in terms of specialist isolation hospitals (remember the unused Nightingale Hospitals?) and better infection controls in hospitals and care homes, which is where a substantial proportion of the cases occurred.

Is there anything to be learned from case/death trends in lockdown vs non-lockdown states of the US? Luminaries of every stripe have been castigating the non-lockdowners, but naysayers are saying there's been no difference. This needs addressing, I feel.

The bar in Leeds has terraced access to Millennium Square as well as a Courtyard; the latter would require access/egress control particularly, although don't see why this would not be possible with all the covid safety precautions now available. Many of the other RBG bars also have terraces, courtyards and gardens, even though they are in urban locations. Have emailed RBG asking for their plans for April onwards. I'll share any response I receive - positive or less than positive.

Mainland Europe isn't wildly keen on vaccinations in general, and that's without the scares about the AZN jab. I'll be frankly astonished if they reach 70% vaccination rate ever!
