When Keith Edelman buys you know its near the bottom. No purchase by him as yet so looks to go lower from current level.

Those pubs look ok but many is smaller towns in out of the way places. Good contrast to their usual market.

I've no more idea than anyone else, however, I've a hunch that the share price will be considerably higher than 8p this time next year. The Peach Pub Group acquisition was an excellent deal imo. Good luck all holders.

Are we near the bottom. Bad news priced in? I have this as my entertainment play. if they get through to the spring ok, things should be good.
Christmas parties should be good.
Shame the footie ended for the England team.

Master, i think that there will be a positive to trading with the footy and the first year for unhindered by covid events on the corporate front. Obviously biased for being long here but cost of living impacts i think will only begin to take it's toll next year after a few months of electric and gas increases on dd's. Food bills are up, as we know, but i think folks re-adjust their spending and shop at aldi and lidl if pressed to compensate. I still haven't turned on the gas driven central heating as i have a log burner and it's more cost effective to get some low powered heating systems. It is tough out there for many but the going out crowd may only think about the costs after New Year imo.

Today's comments on price inflation and BAR drinking ....

Take-home beer sales nudged up slightly in the last four weeks, covering the first week of the tournament, by 5% to GBP230 million, but mostly due to increased prices.

Many people are taking the chance to enjoy a social pint while watching the games in bars and pubs, whereas last year we were in the middle of a Covid resurgence so consumers were limiting their movements and going out less."

So less than 30pc of shareholders bothered voting. Pathetic.. get what we deserve. Of those that did vote up to 7pc voted against the majority of resolutions and 20pc against the preemption disapplication.

Message to Board, keep raiding the piggy bank. Your shareholders are an inept bunch of losers who don’t care

Edelman as the shareholders champion really must try harder at RBG

Interesting to see that these shady see you next Tuesdays didn’t post a voting table with their one line resolutions passed AGM RNS. Will keep a close eye on the website for when they quietly post it there.

Talk about misleading shareholders and screwing them over

Loungers numbers strong. FUL up 50% off lows. I think it is important to remember that the strong investors will pile back in at the point of maximum pessimism in order to get the best deals.

I think we might be there already. Inflation should start to drift down soon I think and once we get to March the confidence should return.

I am in here as I see this as the low ebb for RBG.

RBG has an enterprise value of £15M with revenue of £140M.

They are paying £16M for a chain of gastro pubs with revenue of just £30M.

Management awarded themselves 4.5M of nil cost shares for this braindead piece of capital allocation.

They could easily have instituted a 5% share buy back and re-started a small dividend instead.

Uninvestable.

I have voted against every resolution at the AGM. From the stonegate/Deltic bid debacle to the cva and multiple shareholder bail outs, Edelman somehow survives along with some terrible neds and execs and then having finally got the business on an even keel they borrow a ton of money to go into a different business from the one I have invested in. Edelman and co have destroyed over £120m in shareholder value and they still have jobs, big salaries and another round of free options. The arrogance of these people and the contempt they have for their shareholders. Well as far as I am concerned they can f right off. I hope my vote is not an isolated one.

Are you surprised. Spending their cash cushion on expansion and acquisition in the face of a recession. Easy if you think you'll still be paid when shareholders will cough up for the next bail out.
