Looks like placees at 8p still continuing to exit - but PI's still picking up. What happens however if the 8p line fails to hold ?

gerd212 it is but you miss the point not one is better than the other, they both have their roles to play at the moment, but lithium does have quite a few draw backs....the chart with the 2 batterys on in the header may not be 100% correct but is pretty close...

Yes to give our tick list , positives ALL the way down. ( See -That useful tick list on this or the other thread yesterday).I guess I know that the share price has to go up to meet my objectives so potential has to feed into an order book. Just like falling off a cliff to make a splash means potential has to become kinetic.

owenski you are 100% correct but obsession is another thing, with regards to risk yes there is but there is with BP Shell RBS take your pick of any company, there is risk. You seem to be obsessed with lithium...but spend all your day posting on a flow battery thread...... I would have thought REM would be more suited to you posting..

By the way, this being a 'public' BB, I'm entirely in my place to comment on any stock as I please whether I hold it or not, otherwise this becomes a cut and past rampers paradise with no reasonable regard to risk that all companys carry, and there does remain risk here, otherwise the market would be behind it as evidenced by share price action.

Dig... Flow batteries have their place, but at present Lithium is the chemistry that is in use and still on a growth curve.

Flow batteries are still fresh out of the lab and are in early stage commercial adoption, it can't be said at present definitively how well they'll do, essentially they are still in a seeding trials phase.

These phases can last for years, flow batteries also require specialist installation, especially for direct grid application.

Meantime, this is a business which means it's best to focus on it as a business and not fall in love with the product, this may well come good, but meantime I suspect they will be back to the market for more funding and any meaningful sales uptake is still some way off.

For the record, fun making aside, RED is on my watch list, but it could remain there for some time, I'm not prepared to punt money and watch my funds be diluted or for other events to occur that mean a poor return for a PI.

the reason lithium is so widely used is a bit like petrol and diesel is widely used there was no alternative.... now there is....will lithium rule the waves??? maybe not!!! toyota already looking at alternatives and funny enough they are looking towards flow battery,s....now there is a surprise owenski, dont you think....??

Diesel still used heavily in cars but just the same not for long !!!

Petrol used in cars heavily come back in 5 to 10 years, a petrol car may be the odd one out....remember the sinlair computers 30 years ago??? where are they now ???? a decent computer 25 years ago would cost you £2000, should I say what was considered decent spec, same spec now a couple of hundred ££.....things move fast...the transition from fossil to renewable will gather pace....

Lithium is very durable. Lead Acid and Lithium still heavily used for back up systems especially telecoms.

If Redt's porta loos were so good they'd be selling by now.

number of cycles.....lithium lasts 7 to 10 years tops providing no hic-ups any hic-ups an 3 to 5 years is about right, how many on here have had a phone or laptop that the battery has lasted for 7 years without any degradation????

not one!!!!!!
