02/6/2017 14:10 | The California Senate passed a bill that would give consumers more access to clean energy and provide the next critical piece for California to achieve its aggressive greenhouse gas and renewable energy goals. SB 700, authored by Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) would increase availability of local, customer-sited energy storage for schools, farms, businesses and homes. “In California, we are pushing aggressive renewable energy goals because we know that fighting climate change means taking action now,” said Senator Wiener. “This bill will push us down the path to 100% renewable energy. To meet our goals, we need solar, storage, and other renewable energy resources in every city and neighborhood in California, not just those that can afford it. This bill will transform energy storage so that all can reap the benefits of clean, renewable energy.” | dogrunner11
02/6/2017 14:01 | Where is Pierre? That paper is just what Pierre has been on about .Understanding the difference between energy and power. How far of is the hybrid.? The university and redT working on it .Trials could start in months but i suspect a commercial unit will be a fair bit longer. Would be excellent if the VR flow machines could be "upgraded" to the new technology as and when available. The storage business is clearly in its infancy with much to play for. | fieldhouse

02/6/2017 09:51 | Trade shows useful for getting ideas and seeing who is in the market as prime suppliers but only if you know you are in the market - Too many (IME) just looking, having a day out, can I get an agency etc wasting time - a better return to identify potential major beneficiaries of the product and approach directly (remember it is a capital good rather than a consumer good) - BUT from data released by Coy to date in respect of trials and target markets I guess that purchaser finacing could be a major stumbling block especially in Africa. Question - Do the Coy have financing deals in place for potential purchasers ?? | pugugly
02/6/2017 09:18 | Anyway I did say they are a part of the mix.I don't think I can add more of these until some concrete sign they can generate cash to a degree where they can plausibly match the OPEX they are cheerfully adding right now. What say others? | alchemy

02/6/2017 08:30 | I hate trade shows. I trust our team is on focused opportunities not this sort of stuff. Meetings at our offices there offices or reference visits. Having said which, they are somehow a necessary part of the mix. | alchemy

30/5/2017 10:41 | Under the Flow Freedom offer, the cost of the boiler + install (based on their estimated prices) would be £5,475 inclusive of VAT Cheaper to install solar panels, and the fuel is free... Not exactly cheap.... Under this offer, you are required to sign up to Flow’s energy tariff, which is actually very competitively priced (e.g. 10/11 p/kWh of electricity and 3/3.5p/kWh of gas depending where in the country you are). You are required to pay for all the gas you use (as you might expect!) but also all the electricity – you can’t use the free electricity you produce – or at least you can but you have to pay for it! You are also required to sign over your Feed-in tariff payments to Flow for the 5 years of the offer. In return, flow will give you a payment each month of £80 – so a total of £4,800 over the 5 years. After the 5 years, you then can benefit from the FIT which get reassigned to you – this means you get paid 13.24p for every unit (kWh) of electricity you produce. | dlg3
