Not sure what youve been smoking. RDW has been out of favour, market sentiment. Fine. Build your holding when others are fearful. The tide will turn. When it does some of us will do well. :)

Short sellers destroying builders, just amazed these were not getting hammered long before now, cheap nasty houses in cheap nasty places, Redrow decimated in last recession and same will happen this time, heading back to a couple of quid, Morgan will be out soon, most of the main players getting out, liquidating their holdings. Interesting Crest bosses sold out in the Spring just before it all went south, timing. UK a brexit basket case heading for the bricks, no pun intended.

BVS results today combined with other recent housebuilders results/statements seems to be turning sentiment and RDW fairing better in share price returning to pre dip levels ( up 3.8% today to 599) so nearly back to the 600 to 650 band.
Most other builders more than 10% below levels for last year, (some around 18-20% below highs)so RDW doing better than most.

RDW "the most attractive site in UK"
as a small punter who plays the cycles
its time to sit back, and see house prices take a dip
over 2/3 yrs,

just ruthless of lenders to put up rates on many SVR mortgages

Quite agree aimingupward2.
The days increase looks great but still way below 650 range we have seen this year.
I believe sector sentiment is unjustifiably poor with good PE ratios classic evidence.
RDW possibly doing doing better than peers, being smaller, as it is easier easier to grow.
Taking macro view, low PE ratios imply better returns available elsewhere or there is reduced "spare" money in the economy, neither of which I believe to be the case, so maintain view low sentiment is unjustified - and wait patiently for rectification in share price giving more typical PE ratio.
IMO :-)

On a very poor market day, with the FTSE down 1.1%, RDW is up 5%, reflecting the excellent annual results and positive outlook.

It's still remarkably cheap, however, on a p/e of around 6 for the year just started.

Looking good then "Construction market growth 'eases to three-month low'" anounced 9.50 and property sector dives. August is a quiet monthany way, combined with following reference, the dip is groundless IMO.
==========
"The construction sector slipped back into a slower growth phase in August, with this summer’s catchup effect starting to unwind after projects were delayed by adverse weather at the start of 2018," said Tim Moore, associate director at IHS Markit.
