27/7/2014 06:44 | I note that Randgold will feature heavily at the Mines and Money show in London, 1-5 December. Mark bristow as a keynote speaker, and RRS as a silver sponsor. Quite a chunk of shareholders fund being expended to achieve - what? Clearly this will raise the profile of the company and it underlines the determination of the BOD to be known as THE emerging mid-tier gold producer. The question is- who is listening out there? Mark is clearly publicity-savvy (Africa bike ride etc) so this may all pay off as the mining sector returns to popularity. | shavian
15/7/2014 22:04 | It won't drop back to that level as quite a few think the markets are over valued and autumn could see a rebalanceBut who knows if it's manipulatedNixon made the mistake of dollar no longer being pegged to the price of gold and have they stopped printing dollars yet to prop up their debt? | little minx

10/7/2014 08:44 | Cleared the psychological £50 hurdle without missing a beat. Any chartists around? POG quietly strengthening too. Edit at 2pm: POG strengthening rather more noisily now! Broke $1340. Lets see what the manipulators can do today. if they cannot get it down below about $1320 we may be into a multimonth bull run on gold! | shavian
08/7/2014 18:43 | RRS doing well again today until the afternoon gold price 'fix' (well named) kicked in. When will this blatent manipulation be exposed? Eventually the fundamentals will prevail, when the Fed and its acolytes run out of gold! | shavian
