03/4/2014 20:09 | Randgold has terminated its jv agreement with GRL at Sangola. GRL plunges 25%. Just a tidying up exercise for RRS; potentially terminal for struggling Goldstone. Pity - I hold both. | shavian

03/4/2014 10:38 | Have you fed your people on the ground today Twonk? They don't look like they have the energy to search the ashtray for an old roach with a couple of drags left on it let alone coordinate a shorting attack on a large market cap share. | jimmy mcnulty

15/3/2014 16:01 | "INVESTORS CHRONICLE", 14 March 2013 "RANGOLD Like Fresnillo, Rangold (RRS) has benefitted from the improvement in the gold price over the past three months. Also in common with Fresnillo, heavy capital expenditure commitments made the market nervous in 2013 while the gold price was weak. This could be a cause for concern again if the recent rally goes into reverse. On the plus side, the benefit of all Rangold's recent capital expenditure was evident in these full-year results. Helped by a contribution form its Kabali mine and increased ore grades, production was up 15 per cent while costs have been falling. That helped offset falling selling prices. Another big boost in production is expected in 2014, with management talking about a surge of around 27 per cent. All of this is encouraging stuff, although the price of gold itself continues to look fragile. Last IC view: Hold, 4,260p, 4 February 2014." | hedgehog 100 |
