16/3/2015 08:52 | Brahmsnliszt The rumour is that Slater & Gordon after their due diligence to date are rumoured to be very interested in making an offer for QPP legal services. Talk last night seemed to be coming from Australia. No idea whether there is any truth in this but the market seems to think so I guess as we nearly touched 130 this morning. Was so close to selling @ 75p when EC was in full flow so glad I sat on my hands and bought instead. All seems to be good for the longs today. Awaiting PWC report Slater & Gordon. AGM and some more news on cashflow & telematics. Also wonder what the new executive team have been doing. Holding and cons topping up NAI and caveat emptor | billthebank
16/3/2015 08:47 | This rumoured deal seems to be incredible to me. Without some credible verification of the both the actual debtors and potential debtor accruals from PWC, I just cannot see any financial institution lending the funds to facilitate such a deal. However, with a trading volume of 10m shares and a 26% rise in the shareprice during the first 45 minutes this morning, it would appear that a lot of people take a different view. Looks like this could ultimately provide a good exit opportunity for some holders. No position. | masurenguy

16/3/2015 08:28 | tawnyport - that's my point. If QPP are having trouble monetizing their accruals or even collecting their receivables, to the extent that lending is a problem (or banks who have issued overdrafts are getting the jitters), why would any bank lend SGH 60-90% of market cap to buy QLS's book? It doesn't add up. Either QLS's book is worth lending against or it is not. If QLS's book is worth lending against to the extent SGH can raise funds to purchase it, then QLS/QPP could do the same thing: just sit back and wait for the cash to roll in. If the book is so valuable, why did RT sell? (I know the fit of pique argument, but the guy is a business man. He could have left his role but kept his shares if he thought there was any value there). | dasv

16/3/2015 08:26 | you bulls are being played! It is so obvious, you can line up to apologise after. Look at the lack of logic for a bid of this size from S&Gs perspective. Its a risk, and these are lawyer. Wake up and smell the coffee. | elcapital |
