15/3/2015 22:31 | I listened to the Blagger's 'bearcast' today (well I am only human, sorry!) I had to laugh apparently we are to ignore 'market sources' and somebody has been feeding the press stories The Blagger would never listen to 'market sources' or feed his press contacts stories of course! | nicky name
15/3/2015 22:28 | So why are they still in talks I wonder It is expensive keeping all these advisors going! :-) | phillis

15/3/2015 22:17 | Rubbish. They don't have to rns each and every press article. They only need to rns once the bid is tabled which it will be. Quit it with the continual drivel and twisting of anything positive bears blagger!! | haywards26

15/3/2015 20:40 | Could they take shares in ... QPP ?? | knigel
15/3/2015 20:28 | Knigel - also the story says it won't be instalments - it will be "upfront" and cash:- "City sources said Quindell’s board is on the verge of recommending a £640m cash offer from Slater & Gordon, which is listed on the Australian stock market. ... In addition to the £640m up-front price, Slater & Gordon is expected to pay Quindell 50% of receipts from noise-induced hearing loss cases." How will this be raised? SGH multiplying their debt six-fold, or by issuing shares of 70% of their market cap? Or by Private Equity coming in and taking a majority slice of the action? (if this were the case the takeover would be from PE not SGH) - so it can't be PE for the majority of required funds imo. Strange the article doesn't explain the funding side. | dasv
15/3/2015 20:20 | and no sign of SGH share price weakness in advance or any sign on bond markets: the article begs the question of how this deal can possibly be financed. | dasv
15/3/2015 20:17 | I cant see it being right. If there is any truth, there will be an announcement in 45 on ASX, and maybe a suspension. Im not expecting that | elcapital
15/3/2015 20:15 | dasv, I have no idea if this is legit either except we have previous RNSs confirming both parties are still in talks. If this £500+ million figure is legit I reckon it will be paid in instalments because they do not have the funds at the moment without dilution or debt raising... | knigel
15/3/2015 20:11 | I hope there's no RNS either UNLESS it's to confirm the sale. What's the point of issuing a RNS every time there's an article about your company in the newspaper? Some companies like HSBC and Tesco would be issuing 2-3 RNSs every week! | knigel |
