16/3/2015 08:08 | Not as much as I thought. Maybe the mug punters are running out of ammo, or now just refusing to believe the lies. | elcapital
16/3/2015 08:06 | No RNS this morning is an absolute gift horse for any remaining shorts - I'd strongly suggest you take it! | itchycrack

16/3/2015 07:59 | Under most circumstances if a company were buying assets in excess of their current market value, or a company was selling part of it way in excess of its market cap, both would be suspended. Under that circumstance, or even to address market rumours, there would be a pre market RNS, which are usually effected at 7am Mug punters are getting played again here, they should not be able to trade when this is so up in the air. | elcapital
16/3/2015 07:52 | a) a RNS does not have to be at 7am! b) if talks are close to agreement then both companies probably will rather wait and release a RNS on completion whether today or later this week c) I wonder if the bulls are happy with their most "profitable" asset being sold? It seems like a complete breakup of the company is on the cards and the only question then is "how much is QPP worth?" | knigel
16/3/2015 07:40 | dasv, I think you'll find they invoice factor already, and no bank will lend them money vs (dodgy) WIP. Meanwhile market doesn't trust QPP enough to give it a capital raise of the size it needs. TP | tawnyport
16/3/2015 07:40 | WShak @WShak1 12m12 minutes ago No sale news from Quindell or Slater & Gordon, then? They would have had to say something if the Times report was true. Back to sleep. | elcapital

16/3/2015 07:35 | You make a good point about QPP always quickly responding to press speculation via a RNS when this time they haven't. As you imply this suggests the rumour is true. Your second point is a high risk strategy that most businesses would not follow. You don't have to look far to see what can happen to heavily indebted companies when future cash flow projections prove to be false, such as Afren. Instead the company appears to be following a strategy of splitting itself into two distinct businesses, one of which it sells off.. Nothing unusual in that even if the retained part is much smaller than that sold. | esmerelda
16/3/2015 07:12 | It occurs to me that if lenders are willing to lend SGH £500m on top of their current £100m debt (ballpark figures), why don't QPP just borrow enough money to convert their work in progress to cash? If the legal side is so lucrative, and it's just a working capital problem, why not just borrow more capital (or do a capital raise) and then wait for the cash to roll in? | dasv
16/3/2015 07:07 | Keep posting EL. You need your posts to be seen first. Keep typing hard today. | r_bedding
16/3/2015 07:06 | TonyB - take on more debt - will banks be happy to lend SGH 5-6x their current debt pile to purchase QPP's work in progress and accruals? After all the PWC investigation into accounting policy esp. with respect to NIHL accruals, was initiated by QPP's bank(s). No RNS from either QPP or SGH. I would expect at least a response to press speculation RNS. QPP was quick to issue these when there was negative speculation. How coincidental they don't bother when the speculation is positive. | dasv

16/3/2015 07:03 | If qpp were going to offer more than their market cap, punters dont know what they are buying. S&G would have been suspended. | elcapital |
