Investor discussions surrounding Quadrise Plc (QED) on ADVFN have remained a mixed bag of optimism and skepticism, reflecting the company’s recent performance and future prospects. The mention of contract confirmations in Romania and Spain, as well as ongoing trials, brought a wave of cautious excitement among some investors, highlighting a potential for growth. Notably, one commentator pointed out that recent developments “have had bold moves and there is substance to it at last,” indicating a belief in the company's progress.
However, the sentiment was not universally positive, as several investors expressed frustration over the perceived lack of transparency and delays in execution, echoing a common concern within the discussion. Phrases like “no news is no news” and “the usual delay and disappointment” suggest a lingering disappointment regarding the pace of progress. Investors are eagerly awaiting substantial and transparent updates rather than just forward-looking statements. Quotes such as "Need transparent fundamental progress to be more positive here" encapsulate the appetite for clearer communication from QED's management. Overall, while there are signs of optimism tied to recent developments, many investors are cautiously awaiting tangible results to support their initial enthusiasm.

Quadrise PLC, an innovative energy technology provider, has recently made significant strides in its fundraising efforts, successfully raising £4.5 million through an oversubscribed placing at 3 pence per share as part of a retail offer aimed at investors. Following a conditional subscription announcement on January 23, 2025, the company has increased its retail offer to support ongoing product development and growth initiatives. Quadrise’s Chairman, Andy Morrison, along with CEO Jason Miles and CFO David Scott, engaged potential investors through a live presentation, underscoring the company's commitment to transparency and shareholder engagement.
Additionally, Quadrise has appointed Anthony Foster as a Non-Executive Director, effective February 1, 2025. Foster brings a wealth of maritime industry experience, having led a range of maritime businesses throughout his career, which is expected to contribute to Quadrise's strategic direction as it continues to enhance its position within the energy technology sector. The company is also advancing its operations, recently finalizing a supply and license agreement for a mining project in Utah with Valkor Technologies LLC, signaling its continued focus on scalable energy solutions.

‘ In parallel, bilateral agreements, including a toll manufacturing agreement between Cargill and Quadrise in respect of fuel manufacture, can be finalised ’ |
‘ A phased payment of the initial license fee, with US$0.35 million now payable by Valkor on 31 January 2025’ |
“ now payable by Valkor on 31 January 2025” |
So will the Vancar cash be received on Jan 31st, or does it simply become payable from then but not actually paid or received ? |
RNS: “ A phased payment of the initial license fee, with US$0.35 million now payable by Valkor on 31 January 2025 ‘ |
I reckon there could be a placing in next 7 working days. Ie before Vancar possibly inadvertently delay or forget to send any money . |
Nvhltd it is out of my area I'm afraid but I welcome your analysis. |
Thank goodness for some sensible discussion. |
You call them MMUs but they are just tarmac machine tech. Whether they exist in shippable condition or not is anyone’s guess. They take about a year to install if you’re lucky. Delays and then the usual disappointment ahead as per usual I reckon. Prob have to drag it out over several prudent placings before disappointment tho |

Could be worse (I think) |
There have been some promising news updates leading QED to where it is at the mo around 6.2p. With Valkor being the latest which at last sees some income I was still a little subdued as all previous news seemed to talked of full payment of the million dollars and half million once Valkor had recieved their 15 milion dollar from investors. The latest RNS doesn't explain why it's to be phased payment. |
Well read their RNS philoosh. |
Is the share price in orbit due to market forces, or due to market maker forces? When’s the placing ? Can’t be long now? |
With Valkors technology I think of Alberta oil sands.....it's a dream but why not? |
best dyor......beleaving everything you read on advfn not recommended |
Its been a while since i've been on here. what have I missed? How far could this climb? What are the forecasts? |
0.35m due 31st Jan. How much do you want to bet that’s before Vancar deduct their ‘costs and time’ , as below : |
June 2023 RNS |
I suppose you could argue that some of the salaries and vacations will be covered for several weeks say . But only if the vancor cash arrives. And I’d be very surprised if it’s not cancelled out in costs b4 it ever arrives? |
‘Better than nothing.’ |
