Well I don’t want QED or its investors to get scammed with a JDA. Can’t be too careful these days apparently, especially after what happened before at Alder

Quadrise plc

("Quadrise", "QED" or the "Company")

Joint Development Agreement with Alder Energy LLC

Quadrise (AIM:QED), the technology company focused on the decarbonisation of shipping and heavy industry through deployment of low emission fuels and biofuels, announces the Company has signed a Joint Development Agreement ("JDA") with renewable fuel technology experts Alder Energy LLC.

Alder Energy LLC, known as Alder Renewables ("Alder") is a USA-based biomass technology provider with industry leading partners and investors. Alder's proprietary pyrolysis oil upgrading technology is designed to produce stable Alder Renewable Crude and associated products such as Alder Pyrolysis Sugars ("APS").

Under the JDA, the Quadrise and Alder teams intend to collaborate in respect of the use of Alder's APS product as a potential cost-effective renewable feedstock for bioMSAR™ and bioMSAR Zero™, with success of initial lab testing of Alder's APS product at the Quadrise Research Facility expected to lead to small-scale diesel engine tests at Aquafuel later this year to confirm initial viability ("Initial Testing"). Subject to the success of the Initial Testing and subject to the contractual agreement of both parties and engine availability, third-party testing in marine diesel engines would then be completed within 12 months of completion of the Initial Testing.

Commenting on this agreement Jason Miles, CTO of QED, said:

"We are delighted to enter into this JDA with Alder Renewables. Fuels derived from biomass present potentially the most cost-effective net-zero biofuel solutions, with pyrolysis technology also being recognised by multiple organisations including the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, as one of the most feasible production methods for marine biofuels. This collaboration aims to broaden our range of feedstocks for bioMSAR™ and bioMSAR™ Zero, to provide abundant lower cost and lower emission alternatives to conventional biofuels."

"This agreement also builds on the entry of JDAs with other parties with a view to enabling the Company to increase its presence and further develop the business in the highly significant North American market. We look forward to providing further updates on developments pursuant to this agreement in due course."

Commenting on this agreement Derek Vardon, Chief Technology Officer of Alder, said:

"Alder is excited to work with Quadrise to seek to develop sustainable marine fuels using the Alder Renewables Process technology platform. Our pyrolysis sugar product APS will help the global shipping industry meet clean energy goals and decarbonise. This JDA is a key step in scaling sustainable technology solutions, integrating our technologies to support low-carbon marine fuel and diesel engine adoption."

And still don’t know if the 300k plus from Utah was ever received last January. Highly doubtful in my view, what exactly would Utah have received for throwing away 300k at slime?. Possibly bookable as revenue even if never received? Offset against Utah costs?

At least the talks between China and the US look better.

'The positive market reactions mirrored Xi's remarks and reflected growing optimism about the easing of China-U.S. trade frictions.

Following the leaders' phone talks, shipping demand surged, leading to a spike in freight rates, and U.S. stock indices saw substantial gains, with the S&P 500, Nasdaq and Dow Jones all experiencing significant increases.'

Sure the market showed disappointment at lack of time scales on concrete news.
Shipping does have long time scales and is very hard to predict but we still have this expectation.

'Marine

The expected bilateral agreements between MSC and Cargill, and Cargill and Quadrise, to initiate the commercial-scale marine trials are now in near final form and are expected to be concluded soon. Following signature, the trial equipment will be installed and commissioned at the MAC2 site in Antwerp, ahead of the commercial-scale marine trials commencing in Q3 2025.

Quadrise continues to make strong progress in building strategic partnerships with additional potential customers, aimed at accelerating the commercialisation of bioMSAR™ and MSAR®. The Company intends to utilise its facilities at MAC2 to service these opportunities, as well as establishing similar supply points in other major marine bunker hubs.'

Must try harder.
Every company has it's ups and downs quite normal.
Especially on a difficult area to predict, as shipping, in these changing times.

Ability
Momentum (real)
Progress
Strategy
Scale

‘ significantly closer’
closer than what? The moon ?

“ more convinced’
more convinced than what exactly? That much is clear :
‘ more convinced than ever ‘

‘ continued to make progress’
Can you sell that ?

‘ our ability to successfully deliver on our strategy.’
If you say so .

IMV the fRNS comment below just seems so weak and limp without commitment , like it was written by a wet fish or something? :

‘ "Quadrise has continued to make progress throughout 2025 to date. Whilst some developments have taken longer than originally anticipated, we are more convinced than ever in the strength of our technology, the scale of the opportunity, and our ability to successfully deliver on our strategy.
"We enter the next quarter with real momentum and expect to achieve several important operational milestones which will bring us significantly closer to commercial deployment and long-term value creation for our shareholders."

So what does QED have to offer in reality after nearly 20 years of words ? Well, the RNS is clear :

“ We enter the next quarter with real momentum…̶1;

So they don’t just have momentum. They have ‘real’ momentum.

Just feels to me like no-one wants the sludge. And even if they did, well where’s the never ending supply of mixed sludge going to come from ?
And where’s the engine manufacturer in all of this? Aren’t they supposed to issue a LONO one day ? Wasn’t the engine manufacturer heavily involved in the previous failure with a different shopping entity?
