22/8/2023 07:51 | Some solace of a dividend on Thurs | 18bt
17/8/2023 12:53 | I have topped up at 301p as it does appear to be at a weakness. | thebeast1
17/8/2023 08:24 | I have also joined QQ today, limit buy at 2.99 has been filled. I am a LTH at Chemring and previously BA. (Great acquisition today btw) And Cohort. This has fallen too far IMO (caveat any unknown unknowns of course!). 10.5x forward earnings is cheap given the global geo tailwinds. Only 50% UK business by 2027 is the key as QQ upgraded its long term targets last month. Lets see! | rimau1
17/8/2023 08:11 | Sailorsam, there was irony in my statement, agree entirely, we need the best Forces and best weapons. | wad collector
16/8/2023 22:40 | Well, I have joined the shareholder register today! | salpara111
16/8/2023 21:52 | Defence companies protect and defend you alongside your Armed Forces. | sailorsam1
16/8/2023 20:44 | That was a meaty director sell and it appears to this point well timed!. Their large recent acquisition was bought from PE, who are usually masters of timing an exit. QQ does tend to move around a lot so need to be careful reading too much into share price moves. See what they say at the H1. CHG my only sector holding atm but have this on a watch list. | essentialinvestor
16/8/2023 20:09 | Defence companies are just arms traders by another name , and to be spurned. Unless someone is trying to invade your country or rape your daughter, and then we will demand the best technology.... | wad collector
16/8/2023 16:42 | BA. doesn't seem to be on the same list as here! | disc0dave45
15/8/2023 19:45 | Interesting post from the Aviva board. I'm guessing Aviva are not the only pensions / fund manager that are limiting choice for their customers because they are being bullied, intimidated and threatened by lobby groups, activists and woke nutters. Sad that defence of our country and helping to keep the peace is now seen as being as unethical as promoting smoking etc. Anyway, this sort of selling up by tracker funds etc might explain some of the recent weakness here. "Hydrus15 Aug '23 - 09:54 - 16832 of 16853 For shareholders info I received a letter from Aviva today informing me that due to their internal policies the index funds I invest in through them in my pension are no longer compliant and they are removing defence, tobacco, coal etc companies from them and charging me a fee for doing this. So that means I am no longer invested in the indexes but now a curated selection based on what Aviva deem acceptable and they are charging me more. I was astonished and I’ve immediately transferred the whole pot to Vanguard, meaning Aviva have lost a lifetime of fees. To emphasise, these are INDEX funds." | someuwin
15/8/2023 16:17 | Yep technically oversold. Looking back over three years or so and RSI has been in oversold territory every year around this time (not exactly to the day/week), it may be as a reaction to the CEO off loading or a lull in their business cycle, don't know but I do think the CEO selling more than he ever has is one trade must have some bearing.....I'm tempted!. | disc0dave45
15/8/2023 09:54 | Been watching this for a while with a view to taking a stake. Like a lot of people here I was all set to press the button around the 322 mark but didn't. Unless there is something going on in the background that us PIs are not privy to, the share price is clearly oversold. I'm going to set a limit order for 305 until the end of the week and see if I get filled. | salpara111
14/8/2023 15:07 | From a chart perspective it's showing completely oversold. Thinking of adding actually P | peddlers
14/8/2023 12:57 | I'm continuing to hold. P | peddlers
14/8/2023 09:34 | 1 I don't accept the crtiticism of Wadey selling. He also sold chunks on 220721, 120820, 010719, 210618 so this is not affecting the current share price. But he is certainly well rewarded ....if anyone has details of the 2017 QinetiQ Group plc Incentive Plan (Bonus Banking Plan) easily available, I would be interested to see 2 I am also not sure about contract issues; any material issues would need to be RNS'd. I note the company's trading update of 200723, just 3 weeks ago which references profit: We have made a positive start to FY24. Order intake has continued to remain strong and we are pleased with our revenue, profit and cash performance. Our visibility on revenue under contract for FY24 has increased to £1.3bn, up from £1.1bn at April 2023. Consequently, we remain confident of delivering in-line with our expectations. 3 I am thinking the current share price weakness in what is a strong defence market could be due to forced redemptions by some hedge funds that are major holders of QQ. stock. But if anyone else has any thoughts, then that would be of interest as I am considering adding at these levels. | melody9999
12/8/2023 16:50 | Yes only a thousand at 319.9p. I suspect there is a problem with a contract which is why I only bought a few. Might hit 300p? Of course, any announcement of a problem and I think Greedy's sales need investigating! Long term I think this is still a share worth buying but the current weakness is slightly worrying without any news unless it bottoms out and rebounds soon to 325p. | marles
10/8/2023 10:18 | Did you manage to get your other filled? I'm thinking of adding at these levels as well. P | peddlers
08/8/2023 13:08 | Trouble is that QQ is a contractor, albeit a defence contractor. So bids for work maybe fixed price or some contractual limits. So there is always a chance of contractual problems somewhere, which some insiders may be aware of. Long term not a big issue but short term can cause volatility. The share price hit 250p about two years ago on a problem with a contract but soon recovered, it was weakening before any announcement! After Steve Greedy sold a big wedge I was suspicious so this may be the case or it is maybe him saying they might make more acquisitions which possibly means either a rights issue or more borrowings needed which the market often dislikes. I have a 320p buy order in place not yet filled. | marles
04/8/2023 08:14 | No idea why the share price is down here - certainly has nothing to do with current trading. BAE results very good and as industry bellweather there has to be some read across - whilst BAE are approaching all time highs, here we are around a 15 month low. Makes no sense to me. | melody9999
01/8/2023 12:09 | He has sold off lumps of them for yrs , after buying in 2017 and getting regular freebies. I don't think you can read much into the latest sale , he still has 1.5 M which is slightly more than 2021. | wad collector
01/8/2023 11:47 | Maybe Steve Greedy needy's the money for his lifestyle, especially after 15% vote against the remuneration policy. Surprised he did not sell at 375p, sold at a modest 345p so he either needs the million or he considers 345p worth selling at? He only buys shares with some of his dividends. Not sure if a red flag or not? Maybe not as long as other directors not selling, especially FD. | marles
31/7/2023 18:26 | Starting to look oversold but must admit the £1 million CEO sale doesn't inspire confidence in their outlook. That said he has offloaded about this time over the past 4 years or so but only about half the £. | disc0dave45
28/7/2023 20:24 | Might have to settle for a slow 5%... | wad collector |
