adamb1978: Hello Someone just drew my attention to how much the QQ price has come off in recent months. I havent followed it for a few years, but it always used to be a c.15x PE company. Now its languishing around 13x, but growth still seems ok, no balance sheet problems - what are the theories around why the price has come off? Government spending being constrained by debt levels? Doesn't feel like there's too much downside from here. Ok, it won't return 20% p.a. however as a solid mid-cap holding in a pension, it seems like a decent bet at current levels to return mid to high single digit %s. ...and as always, your entry price matters so the 13x PE entry point is interesting. WOuld be grateful to hear the theories about why the price has come off, even if you don't believe they're valid. Thanks Adam

wad collector: Share price swinging around today , as if the market does not know how to respond to the results. Good for brave traders.

grahamburn: Interesting that there has been another sizeable director purchase today. That makes 6 significant purchases by directors since the AGM statement which, IMO, indicates that there is a concerted effort by the board to show their confidence in the business. It also indicates that the drop in the share price after what was a reasonable AGM statement, albeit with some caveats about delays in some contracts, was unexpected - and maybe even unjustified.

philanderer: upgrade... "..QinetiQ rose 11.12p, or 4.2%, to 274.7p after Investec upgraded the defence contractor from Hold, becoming the only broker with a Buy rating. Investec argued its share price slide is unwarranted as it urged clients to pile in." scanjet17: Look at the chart here. What more could anyone want? I've held these since QQ. handed over 40000 of them to me on floatation when I worked there. It pays a nice dividend and the previous chairman stated his aim of getting the share price to 400p. It looks well on its way. Just short now of its all time high. I have quite a collection of this type of instrument held for many years. Grinding away, paying good dividends and increasing wealth year on year. I find it far more relaxing than the cut and thrust of day trading. The stock market is a vehicle for transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient.

iwilllosemyshirt: REDS, remarkable recovery story not yet well known. Trading update 5th September. REDS provides software applications for smart buildings and counts pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline and real estate player Meyer Bergman among its customers. Constant flow of new contracts with large multinationals. They got recently a 12 million contract with UBS which represented 50% of REDS' market capital! UBS have 700 more branches needing possibly the same service. New CEO Mark Braund very positive and invested his own money along with the financial director. Mark is a specialist in turning around struggling companies. He has already done it with REDS in less than a year. http://uk.advfn.com/stock-market/london/redstoneconnect-plc-REDS/share-price?java=1 http://uk.advfn.com/news/share/LSE%3AREDS hxxp://www.channelweb.co.uk/crn-uk/news/2451217/redstone-shrugging-off-baggage-of-the-past-with-connect-ib-deal
