14/3/2016 21:23 | Join the club... Results will be interesting to see how bad the underlying business is. My feeling is it won't be that bad, although I'm suspicious management will paint a bad picture before taking it private? | zcaprd7
01/3/2016 17:42 | A retest of the 9p support line? | zcaprd7
23/2/2016 17:42 | Another tick up. I wonder if our friends at hawkwood are still accumulating? | zcaprd7
23/2/2016 09:20 | Well, I am actually in profit if I sell this morning but I am going to hold for the moment. | salpara111
23/2/2016 02:30 | Just noticed that the chart is looking better, 9p was key support / resistance line. Although I'd given up looking with the funny mid price, bid/offer spread shenanigans.. Over 10p would convince me. | zcaprd7
22/2/2016 12:31 | Well, I was in here a few years ago and enjoyed the run up to 30p. At 7-8p, I've bought back in. The recent update is encouraging. Positive cash flow. Possiblity of a large pay off. . | cjohn
17/2/2016 12:59 | Yes. I think there is better value than before... We need to see the next set of results, headcount and closeness to breakeven is what I'm looking for. | zcaprd7
17/2/2016 11:09 | perking up a bit here | hugepants
12/2/2016 14:26 | I'm not surprised, a small claims fast track case in the UK can take over 12 months! | zcaprd7
11/2/2016 17:06 | World's leading PV company I should say. Probably Chinese, and without making sweeping generalisations, don't care for contractual arrangements... | zcaprd7
10/2/2016 12:26 | I believe that's why they refer to them as the world's biggest pv company, to imply the dosh is there. If we can get breakeven in the prelims then the existing assets are protected, and we might even have a viable business, which I'd valued at a £1 previously. The bonus is if we get the judgement, then we can have a special dividend I guess. | zcaprd7
10/2/2016 12:13 | This may be a 'straightforward' arbitration, and the award may eventually be quite considerable in relation to PVCS market cap, but how can holders have any idea if the other party has the wherewithal to settle? It may be that even now the assets of that party are being quietly spirited away. Or, have I missed something somewhere? | dozey1
10/2/2016 12:05 | With cashflow improving for PVCS shouldn't similar be being seen by others in the supply chain so maybe by the Summer their Customer may be more willing to pay up ? | the stigologist
10/2/2016 11:58 | It all looks positive, but running for another year is a bit tedious? Still, the Japanese subsidiary is shuttered, so they look like they are tidying things up. The French thing looks like a subsidy to European manufacturers, as a slap to China, so they might actually breakeven this year... | zcaprd7
10/2/2016 11:37 | The settlement was the only reason I held on, it has been clear for years that the Chinese are intent on driving any competition out of the market with government subsidies. I was looking for at least 20-25M settlement which they should be able to pay out to investors now that they claim to be able to operate in a cash flow positive manner. I am less happy about how long it is taking to get there! but as I said before they don't have control over how long it takes to get the settlement. This is a pretty straightforward piece of litigation as the other party is not arguing the contract but rather have been spinning out having to settle for as long as possible. | salpara111
10/2/2016 11:06 | Thanks-yes rather forgot about that! | meijiman
10/2/2016 10:24 | They paid back one huge cash dividend to investors at the time. You can see it in the chart in 2013. | the stigologist
10/2/2016 10:22 | What's happened to that money? | meijiman
10/2/2016 10:21 | www.proactiveinvesto PV Crystalox Solar (LON:PVCS) saw its value more than double this morning after announcing a cash settlement over a terminated wafer supply deal that exceeds its market cap. The group revealed that it has reached an agreement over the termination of the supply deal and will receive €90 million, which will be recognised as income in the first half this year. Meanwhile, PV has reduced its first half guidance for shipment volumes to 55-70 megawatts (MW) from 80-100 MW previously, saying it was unable to reach agreement on acceptable wafer prices and volumes for the second quarter with its customers. | the stigologist
10/2/2016 10:18 | Difference between PVCS and RUR/OXS PVCS are funding their litigation themselves PVCS have track record of getting massive litigation/arbitrati | the stigologist
10/2/2016 10:16 | Litigation is a hazardous and expensive business. Poor old Rurelec, which was seeking compensation from the government of Bolivia for a confiscated power station, saw a very disappointing result which has virtually wiped the company out; I write as an aggrieved shareholder. Staking money on PVCS's lawsuit might not prove a happy speculation. As for the length of time taken, lawyers are notoriously slow and, dare I say it, continental lawyers even slower than ours. | varies
10/2/2016 09:39 | The ceo loves his salary more than anything else and nothing will stop him receiving it for as long as possible. | meijiman
10/2/2016 09:31 | point i made on RED thread PVCS news today surely reads majorly positive for RED Solar value chain in West is cashflow positive DESPITE massive Chinese dumping and DESPITE the oil price having tanked (and thus extended the Grid Parity timeline) | the stigologist |
