07/12/2017 08:03 | The biggest lie in numb nuts's post is that he says he has friends! | elcapital2017
07/12/2017 07:59 | Rog, Boofay is incentivised to sell that guy's property because otherwise he won't be paid! Once PURP have your money, where is the incentive? "I sit in front of my PC for many hours per day" I'd have never guessed! :-) | andy
06/12/2017 23:53 | I will use PURP next time, because my friends had a great experience, and saved a lot of money best and cheapest marketing is happy customers, not being ripped off | rogthepodge
06/12/2017 23:12 | Yes but i didnt have to cross the road and give him £1000 of marketing for him to call me like pb pay for their leads #not-for-profit. | boofay
06/12/2017 23:04 | your man happened to be sat outside your office in his car for a few minutes I sit in front of my PC for many hours per day | rogthepodge
06/12/2017 21:00 | Just in case anyone finds this helpful. I was sat in my expensive office and a bloke was watching from his car. Came in booked a valuation. 'Why did you ask us?' Dont know .... i know..its because we had an office. tbf i only charge £1500 on his £160,000 house but that pays my rent for a month... so why would i risk working from my sitting room like pb staff. Souless , lonely job. Also pb only have about 5% market share in most towns which = about 5 instructions a month x £800... = Go HOme. You boys make more then that when the share price changes by 0.5%. | boofay
06/12/2017 20:09 | hpcg, Yet he's talking the market down! Or is he getting his excuses in early? | andy
06/12/2017 16:05 | His patient capital is down 17 pct since inception, while the market has rallied 30 pct at a guess. Anyone who pays any attention to him in the last 1-2 years deserves all they get imo | rackers1
06/12/2017 15:49 | There reaches a point where NW can do no more buying. He then becomes irrelevant to upward price movement; he can simply participate. It becomes like a short squeeze in reverse if price drops. He either has to live with it helplessly, or precipitate further acceleration down. He more than anyone needs both the company to do well and the market to stay up. | hpcg
06/12/2017 15:46 | makes you wonder if he effectively was forced to buy the last position to stop the stock falling out of bed. he is in a hole here | elcapital2017
06/12/2017 15:23 | Itcm1, He cannot go anywhere soon! Except a bit deeper in, but how many more can he buy on the dips? It's certainly a feisty stock, over 20p movement today, it's like they are trying to hold it above 350p. | andy
06/12/2017 15:19 | danger, I completely agree with that, it's ironic he's talking about "bubbles" when he's helping create them! | andy
06/12/2017 14:58 | LOL dangersimpson, I think it's called getting your excuses in early! NW has to find some reason why his fund hasn't gone up while the market has by 27% since he launched it. Ofcouse it's true he is supporting the share price to a considerable extent, and in the absence of really bad Purp or macro news then it isn't going to be a great one to short. A point which has been made to Elcap numerous times. NW may be 'locked in' here but unless the fund suffers a huge blow he won't be going anywhere soon is my guess. | ltcm1
06/12/2017 14:43 | The worst part is Woodford talking about a market bubble, the gap between value & growth being historically high & investors piling into the fashionable stocks of the day when it seems that he is the one who has been buying all these loss-making growth stocks like PURP, DDDD, ALM etc. Holdings that in a normal market would be considered totally unacceptable to hold in an income fund. In many cases like PURP he is also acting like a buyer of last resort, holding up the value of his existing large holdings by buying the dips. So while I agree that there is a certain amount of irrational exuberance in today's market in my opinion Woodford has contributed to it and will be one of the worst hit fund managers when market conditions turn. | dangersimpson2
06/12/2017 13:47 | Itcm1, The weakness is that NW is effectively locked in here, if he starts selling, I would imagine others will follow his lead. His position is so large that he is restricted to how many more he can buy, not only because he's nearer 30%, but also for compliance reasons I would imagine. A US based fund has just started shorting his largest position too! | andy
06/12/2017 11:33 | I see Purp as being a long run saga much like other disruptive stocks. I would have thought their best way forward is to make aquisitions and offer both services but without the overheads of offices. I imagine nearly all the offices will go in the next few years and there will be a huge amount of sector consolidation. Perhaps Purp with it's strong brand identity will be the driver of this change. As for NW topping up - he has a lot of other investments so as a percentage it is still very small. Also he has got in at very low levels so his risk/reward ratio is very good on this one. | ltcm1
06/12/2017 10:23 | LM - I still mainly pick out the down channel you have marked. Clearly lower highs and lower lows. Great trading vehicle if I had the time. I think it likely needs a good RNS to reverse the trend. I think an OK one will see the channel maintained. As a loss is still forecast for 2018 I guess a good one would be 2018 revenue north of £100 million, to be above £97 million consensus. | hpcg
06/12/2017 08:19 | I said PEOPLE..... I only lay into him really so no - its not irony. | rackers1
05/12/2017 23:45 | that would be a first-time correct prediction for you, bbms and unlikely | rogthepodge
05/12/2017 18:39 | 300p by Friday. | bbmsionlypostafter
05/12/2017 16:55 | youre already 2 quid off the top numb nuts | elcapital2017 |
