28/11/2017 15:36 | elc, But generally what happens in London eventually ripples out to the rest of the country, in time. | andy
28/11/2017 11:30 | It isnt an exact science though is it! London prices react differently to say prices in Manchester. It is impossible to calculate the value of a house exactly. There are currenly some massive price falls in central london in the multi million pound houses, upto 40% I have seen | elcapital2017
28/11/2017 11:27 | House prices only went down 20% in the credit recession, and that was because the only people selling were divorce and probate clients who wanted the property sold at market price. I would be interested to know what you think will cause 30%. Can you see another credit crunch as it seems even no money in the economy only bought out the bottom feeding cash buyers, which held the market up ... ironic. If less people sell that will affect PB as they rely on units not margins on fees. | boofay

28/11/2017 08:32 | rog, Well if I knew that I would be a rich man! The longer prices rise the more likely a reduction, so, like the DOW, I expect corrections in both housing and stocks at some point. I have read reports that some areas of London are already falling, so maybe that is the start? It normally ripples out from London, I doubt this time will be any different. | andy
27/11/2017 23:10 | Rog, I genuinely believe Australia, US, Canada and the UK are all due a market correction after long bull runs in property. In order to attract buyers I would imagine 30% off the top may do it, I own a house so not really looking for it to fall in value, but I live in it, it is not a cashpoint for me to spend the profits. | andy
27/11/2017 20:04 | Now starting to look like we have the makings of a Global property slump of circa 30% in the offing | buywell3
