Book Broker has a point. Most shorters have bought and gone. The bargain hunters have bought. The shares look a bargain on a 5 year chart, but are they?The FCA investigation is a huge fly in the ointment. It is entirely possible PFG are found guilty of misselling ROPs, which would result in a fine, extremely negative publicity and potential legal claims. It is far from over and remember many who bought this week have doubled their money. I don't think they will hang around to wait for the FCA result and I doubt the shorters are done with this yet. The risk reward now is back on their side. Our side, as I intend to reopen a short this week too.

I think its still a strong bounce back buy also - holding over near future - I think £10+ on cards for next week - more gradual than today

confident - the door to door issues will be resolved

Shorts will have closed, no new buying, do you think the big holders would increase, I'd say the rally gone as far for now, falls were overdone by lack of any bid, but until more clarity wherenow! They need to get the collections in, that will cost more as investment in new systems wasted, and full timers will become part timers!

Unless it's been conning the whole market for years, the current drop in price is well overdone: if pros were buying at £30+, then anything under £10 (more maybe), must be a steal. I've bought heavily today, and have set a price (a higher one) at which I'm going to buy more. Yes, there's lots of problems, else we wouldn't have had such a fall from grace, but they are fixable, and will be fixed in time. Provident's customers still want them, so, so should we!
