russell - yes a lot of largecaps are in retreat, WPP etc. Think PFG is less risky than, say CLLN though ... parts of the business are doing fine

mister md - I did that at smaller levels - I think if they take bull by horns this company should re incentivise debt collection -- still retrieve most of loans with correct direct attitude focus from top - too soft close up shop - selling to non credit worthy for normal finance - xmas coming up will need more money - alternative if they default will be loan sharks


short term back in 850-900 range but very volatile - med term 10-12 pounds but don't see as buy and hold very few stocks are these days

I'm in for 5k. Always wanted to buy PFG way back and then had to watch as it rocketed to £30 without me on board. Will be holding these long term and have high hopes. Vanquis is a fantastic business in its own right

Locked in some very decent gains here. This is normally the point where I get back in and start to give back profits as share price retreats, so being cautious but very tempted ....

this is probably best trading opportunity at present - bought in yest at range from 621- 652 - sold most out at 772-780 today - was hopeful would push over 850

still have 4 separate positions but did really well last 24 hrs


also bought dixons at 25% down today - oversold - still profitable - and iPhone 8 yet to launch

Steeplejack - you make some good points but I disagree that you when you say that capitalism works on the basis that someone gets a bum deal. Capitalism works on the premise of making a bigger pie so that everyone gets a bigger slice of it and its win-win. On the other hand things like socialism and religion work on the premise that the pie's size is static and someone has to lose for someone to win. In fact with socialism and religion there is no pie in the first place, just pie in the sky. GLTA anyway if you're still in.

wouldn't it be great to be a hedgie day trading with other peoples money here? when you make a profit you take a 20% commission and tell them how wonderful you are and if it all goes t*ts up/bust/suspended you say 'bad luck old boy, that's just too bad but have a look at another AIM/FTSE Ponzi scheme, sorry, investment'
