Isa ready CFDs with Saxo. Not my fav company, but their sign in is relatively fast, which you need when shorting.

saltaire, people have been talking about "the forthcoming bond crash" for years now. The theoretical possibility is obvious, but there's not the slightest sign we'll get the necessary conditions any time soon.

Closed my short yesterday afternoon. I wouldn't buy at this price, but I would not deter those who do as long as you have patience! The loss of credibility will take time to recover, but it is far from a sunken ship. They made a calamitous and foreseeable mistake of moving ftom a profitable way if selling and collecting loans to an unprofitable one. I would imagine that could be fairly easily reversed and a return to the previous model would see a jump in the price. The FCA investigation is a bigger cloud, but again they have stopped selling the disputed product and it concerns a limited timeframe. A fine would surely be punative. I don't see a threat to the existence of the company, like the situation at CLLN, unless of course there are more revelations to come. Yet surely the worst is out there?

It really does illustrate you just don't know what will happen here we have a ftse company recommended by someone who is supposed to be one of the best stock pickers out there and it drops by 2 thirds!A perfect example of the importance of spreading risk personally I never have more than 10% in one stock. No disrespect but some of the risks taken by individuals on this thread will almost certainly end badly have seen it many times in the 17 years I have been on here, they usually end up broke.

Takes some doing as a ftse 100 company to lose two-thirds of your value in one day.If there was a 'disruptor' in this space, like an amazon, then there could be an excuse!! I know instead of people with apps, get drones to collect the money instead.Far cheaper Mr Crook,or is Mr Crook reapplying for a job at Provident as a collector now.
