Dealt with big contract deals with China and getting money out of China is very difficult.
Lot of paperwork to be signed off and they want to know every last detail of what your spending it on.
Waiting time on this could be any time between 30-60 days.

Hi Curry -- heard there is a back up plan, but at what cost if JV has done a runner. Empty hip flask but live in hopes for long term investors here.

Tomorrow's RNS will be perused with care. If no dough we will need a Plan B or a detailed explanation of why funds are not cleared. Never heard of such a ridiculously drawn out payment process in a partnership.

Tony must be away on holidays and will surely sort it all out when he comes back in another few weeksThe old sun tan will be glowing by then and that will help all his shareholders feel better.

Plan B should put us in the 5p range also.It will put me in the predicament where I will have to decide weather to average down.Last time it left me leave with profit when I followed it down to the bottom,though I broke my own rules and left myself over exposed for a time.If APEC have left the house I won't put any more in here.This should have been plain sailing and look what it has turned into.Its mates rates time I fear,or T5 time,same thing really.GLALTH㈳2;

I think we can safely assume the money has not arrived,so is it more of the same tomorrow with a revised date to tomorrow week.This will probably put us in the 5 or 6p range within a couple of days. I personally would prefer to see the truth in the RNS tomorrow for a change.We are being consumed with this now since June.

Whichever minister in the Irish government is responsible for foreign imward investment should be making a call to the Chinese ambassador to try to move this along.

If the money is in dollars which is most probably is then the transaction has to go through the USA They can hold the payment if the detail is not correct even the full names of the directors are unusual When you think that USA is doing everything to screw China right now then blame the USA

Hard enough to get permission for an account holder or director to speak to Anyone at a bank, let alone give permission to someone from a different company! GDPR

The time now is 2.30 in the afternoon of Monday the 19th in China. They are 7 hours ahead of us. So effectively for APEC, the "back stop" has already passed (give or take a couple of hours)...has the money landed in PVR account I wonder?

I notice that in the annual results recent RNS that Spanish Point only gets a one liner, namely that the licence is under discussion with the regulatory authorities. Presumably looking to extend it....But Cairn have shown little interest so far in progressing this project.

Corrib was originally "tighthole status" and this secrecy is part and parcel of the modus operandi of the Supermajors. TOR speaks in today's article of waiting on ENI and Total in other projects. The silence from Cairn on Spanish Point is also extremely frustrating.
